♻️ A step forward for sustainable waste treatment: We have been awarded a contract to supply a new incineration plant for sewage sludge in Wuppertal-Buchenhofen, Germany. 👉 The plant will ensure sustainable thermal treatment and enable future recovery of phosphorus from the ashes. 💡 As phosphorus is classified as critical raw material in the EU, its recovery is not only in line with the legal requirements under the german "Sewage Sludge Ordinance" (AbfKlärV), but supports both environmental goals and resource security. ♻️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/dMiX8b6V

🤝 Proud to share: Our customer Suzano’s Ribas do Rio Pardo pulp mill has reached its full production capacity of 2.55 million tons per year in record time, just one year after ramp-up began. 👉 The mill, built entirely with ANDRITZ technologies, sets a new benchmark for efficiency, integration and scale in the pulp industry. “Reaching the nominal capacity in a plant of this scale, with all systems operating in an integrated and efficient manner within such a short period, is a remarkable achievement,” says Leonardo Mendonça Pimenta, Industrial Operations Director at Suzano in Mato Grosso do Sul. 🙏🙏🙏 Many thanks to everyone involved and for the commitment and excellence of the Suzano team, whose efforts were crucial in turning our partnership into concrete and sustainable results. 🙏🙏🙏 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dMRxSCVm

What exactly is teXscan? 👉 The ANDRITZ teXscan is an AI-powered device that analyzes post-consumer textile waste to assess whether the fibers are good enough to be recycled - especially for reuse in high-quality applications like yarn spinning. 👉 Developed in close collaboration of our AI experts and recycling teams, this innovation sets a new standard for circularity by enabling accurate fiber quality assessment with data-driven precision. This week our Group Sustainability Manager, Caroline Hofer, joined fellow alumni and industry experts to discuss at the Mentoring Stage of the University of Graz's Excellence Career Fair how organizations like ANDRITZ are integrating sustainability into their daily business practices. 👉 The panel provided valuable insights into the evolving role of sustainability in corporate strategy and the importance of academic preparation. In addition, skills needed to drive meaningful changes were discussed and advice for students and recent graduates seeking careers in sustainability was shared. 🚧 Another milestone in sight: We’re about to complete the main building for the 100 MW green hydrogen plant for our customer Salzgitter. 🏗️ All the steel structure and walls will soon be in place, and the plant is taking shape. This is an important step toward enabling Salzgitter’s production of green steel using green hydrogen. As EPC partner, ANDRITZ is responsible for the full execution, and together with Salzgitter we’re turning the vision of green steel into reality. Our strong and trust-based partnership continues to be the foundation of this success. 🤝

A new perspective: Looking at CO₂ as a resource and not as an enemy? At ANDRITZ, we’re currently exploring how biogenic CO₂ from pulp, paper, and biomass processes can be captured and transformed into e-methanol, a renewable fuel for shipping and aviation. ⚡ Good news for a safer energy future: We have been selected to supply four synchronous condensers to Statkraft for key projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland, as part of the Low Carbon Inertia Services (LCIS) program launched by EirGrid and SONI. 👉 Synchronous condensers are rotating machines that help stabilize electricity grids by providing inertia, voltage support, and short-circuit strength. As more renewables come online and conventional power plants phase out, they act as "shock absorbers" to the grid. 👉 With these projects we're helping to lay the technical foundation for a more resilient and renewable-powered grid across the region.
