We had an amazing time yesterday at our End of Year Celebration in Brisbane. Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate the breadth and impact of our giving community’s activity this year. A special thanks to the Queensland Symphony Orchestra for hosting us for a special behind-the-scenes rehearsal – such a unique experience that reminded us of the incredible things made possible through support for the arts. It was wonderful catching up with longstanding friends and meeting new members of our community. Next stop – Sydney! See you next week! Andrew Binns Thomas Lopez

Listening to our community is one of the most important ways we grow and strengthen our work for a thriving and inclusive Australia. That’s why in late 2024, we invited our Fundholders to take part in our most in-depth survey to date. The responses we received provided valuable insights into people’s experiences of giving and the make-up of our growing community. Here are five highlights from the survey: https://lnkd.in/g5tEMD9k Our 2025 survey is out now! If you’re an ACF Fundholder, check your inbox to complete the survey.

“Future Funds offer a lifeline for NFPs seeking stability,” reports the Institute of Community Directors Australia, highlighting Australian Communities Foundation’s endowment offering in its coverage of our newly released NFP Resilience Report. “Australian Communities Foundation is highly attuned to both sides of the philanthropic fence, and it tries to help where it can… urging philanthropists to consider untied funding and multi-year giving, to help charities have better security and flexibility,” writes journalist Nick Place. “But it also means the ACF sees the struggle of NFPs, and it identifies financial insecurity as the sector’s biggest challenge.” “The Resilience Report showcases one ACF product that the Foundation believes can help: managed Future Funds, where money that NFPs have managed to put aside can work harder, allowing organisations to benefit… [through ACF’s] ethically invested portfolio.” 📖 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/gcpg9N43

“The most powerful gift you can give is trust.” Unrestricted funding, sometimes called untied or core funding, gives NFP organisations the flexibility to allocate resources where they’re needed most – whether that’s investing in infrastructure or simply covering overhead costs. In this article, Australian Communities Foundation’s Philanthropy Lead Gabby Lam shares how this approach not only enables organisations to do their best work but also helps donors achieve greater, long-term impact. 📘 Read now: https://lnkd.in/gFtgKNyH
