A Charity engaged with Suicide Prevention, Cancer & Men's Family & Domestic Abuse

About us

Brave Brothers, although we are a non-government mental health organisation and charity, it is more than this. We want to break the stigma surrounding ‘Men’s’ Health and Wellbeing to create a positive future. Established as a Charity in December 2022, Brave Brothers was founded by a unique group with different lived experiences who share a common goal. The Board is passionate about the inclusion of the mind and healthy mental habits as a vital part of holistic wellbeing. We are seeking to challenge and influence current structures, systems and how they operate.

  • DYLAN MARRIOTT DID IT! 100KM FOR OUR BROTHERS 🧡🏃 Dylan Marriott showed us what being a Brave Brother truly means. He pushed his body through 100km of pain, pressure and pure heart — running through heat, rain and storms — and he never ran a single step alone. Mates were beside him the entire way, keeping him going and reminding him why this challenge mattered. His determination never cracked. Not once. This wasn’t just a run. It was a message. A spotlight on suicide prevention, men’s mental health, and the reality that too many blokes are doing it tough in silence. As a grassroots, fully volunteer-driven charity, we’re blown away by how our community rallied behind Dylan — donating, cheering, showing up, and proving what happens when we stand together before it’s too late. To Dylan, your family, friends, and everyone who helped bring this life-saving event together — thank you. We are so incredibly proud of you. 🧡🏃 👉 You can still donate to Dylan’s challenge — and all donations are tax-deductible: 💰 Donate: https://shorturl.at/8IVqV 🙌 Volunteer: https://lnkd.in/ge75nAgM 🤝 Become a sponsor: https://lnkd.in/g3eujugK Let’s keep this momentum going — for our mates, for our community, for our brothers. If you want to take on a challenge and help Brave Brothers, please contact us and let's work together! 🧡 #BraveBrothers #100kmChallenge #MensMentalHealth #SuicidePrevention #CommunityStrong #MensHealth #GrassrootsCharity #ForOurBrothers

Every Thursday, blokes from all walks of life have shown up, walked side-by-side, talked openly, and built real, lasting friendships. Walk-and-talks are proven to boost mental wellbeing, reduce stress, increase connection, and create a healthy routine — and we’ve watched all of that come to life right here in Bundaberg. A massive shoutout to our incredible volunteers Robert Parr and Mitchell Logue — week after week, rain or shine, you’ve led with heart and helped countless men feel supported, welcomed and heard. Legends. 🤝🧡 We also want to thank Sexie Coffie and Domino's Pizza Bundaberg for backing us throughout the year and providing food and drinks during our special community events. Your support truly helps bring men together. 👉 Every Thursday 📍 Meet: Sexie Coffie, Bundaberg 🕔 From 5pm — walk from 5:30pm 👥 Men’s only group. (Family and partner days happen throughout the year.) • This International Men’s Day, we honour the men we’ve lost — and fight for the men still with us Over the weekend, Brave Brothers gathered with our community at Alexandra Park in Bundaberg for our first-ever Boots on the Lawn event. What unfolded was moving, heavy, and incredibly meaningful. Across the grass, we placed boots in lines of seven — each line representing the 7 men who die by suicide every single day in Australia. More than 2,500 families lose a man they love each year. #2500TooMany As the rain fell, people still came. Trucks. Motorcycles. Cars. Families. Mates. All standing together to shine a light on men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and the importance of connection. Brave Brother Rob shared a touching poem that brought quiet tears. Brave Brother Scott and our Founder David Facer led the event with heart and courage. As Craig Lamond performed his powerful new song Brother, the emotion across the park was undeniable. We paused for a minute’s silence, remembering every life stolen too soon — followed by a surge of truck horns echoing through Bundaberg, symbolising our commitment to Break the Silence. To the Stags Motorcycle Crew, Cruising for a Cure Car Club, Brave Brother Jono, and our incredible volunteers — thank you for helping us create a moment that truly mattered. Brave Brothers is a 100% volunteer-run grassroots charity, and this work is only possible with your support. • 7 men. Every day. More than 2,500 fathers, sons, brothers and mates… gone each year. 💔 Over the weekend, we refused to let their silence be the last thing we hear.🧔🧡 In the lead-up to International Men’s Day this Wednesday, 19 November, our community gathered at Alexandra Park in Bundaberg for the inaugural Brave Brothers – Boots on the Lawn event, a raw, powerful tribute to the men we’ve lost and a reminder of the crisis still unfolding around us. Across the grass, we laid boots in lines of seven, each line representing the 7 men who won’t make it home today. Seeing those empty boots… it hit hard. Every pair was someone’s whole world. Despite the rain, people showed up. Trucks, motorcycles, cars, families and mates stood together with courage and compassion. Brave Brother Robert Parr poem brought tears to many with his beautiful tribute. Brave Brother Scott, alongside our Founder David Facer, led the event with heart and strength. When Craig Lamond performed his beautiful song "Brother", many of us felt the weight and the hope of the moment as our community laid out their boots in memory of a man's life lost to suicide. We held a minute of silence for every man who didn’t make it home… then the trucks blasted their horns in a powerful call to Australia: Break the silence. Stand with men. Save their lives. Thanks go out to our community, the Stags Motorcycle Crew, Bundy's Cruisin' 4 A Cure Inc, Rotary Club of Bundaberg City Daybreak, our Brave Brother Jono Cullen, and every volunteer and all the amazing truck businesses who showed supported and made this moment possible. • Remembrance Day 🧡 This morning, Brave Brothers were proud to attend the Remembrance Day memorial in Bundaberg — standing side by side with our community to honour the brave men and women who served our country. Remembrance Day reminds us — freedom comes at a cost. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and pay our respects to those who gave everything and to stand with our current and past servicemen and women who continue to show courage every day. Their bravery and sacrifice inspire us to keep listening, supporting, and working with those who need a mate beside them. 🧡 Lest We Forget. #RemembranceDay #BraveBrothers #LestWeForget #MensHealth #SuicidePrevention #Community #SupportYourMates
