Too many Australians with disability are left out of sport, missing out on the health benefits, confidence and connection it brings. But sport has the power to change lives, and this new campaign is showing how. Disability Sports Australia's new storytelling series tells the powerful stories of three Australians whose lives were transformed by sport. Launching during Disability Action Week, the series shines a light on the gap in participation for people with disability and celebrates how sport can change lives. Take a read of James’, Harriet’s and Rae’s stories here: https://lnkd.in/gtnnjUmq Has sport changed your life? Disability Sports Australia wants to hear your story! Another circle around that image connects eight blue and white icons that represent the different ways people communicate. From left to right these symbols are: Closed Captions, Conversation, Augmented and Alternative Communication (AAC device), Sign language interpretation, National Interpreter, Telephone-typewriter, Easy Read and Hearing access. Below the circles are illustrated images of people with and without disability in varying shades of blue and white, including a person using a wheelchair talking to another woman. Standing by her is a guide dog. At the centre of the image is a woman holding a baby talking to another woman, with two men standing to their right. The background of the whole image is blue.]
