Last night DCY was recognised with the South Australian Local Government Financial Management Group (SALGFMG) Excellence in Financial Management Award — one of the 3 awards for which we were finalists — and we could not be prouder of every single person at DCY. This award is the result of a massive whole-of-Council effort to turn the tables at Yank. Being named finalists in 3 categories was already a huge achievement — but taking home this award is a testament to how far we’ve come together. This recognition belongs to all of us. Thank you for your resilience, professionalism, and determination to keep moving forward. A huge thank you to SALGFMG for giving finance its place on the big award stage in local government. Thank you also to the judges who saw the value in what DCY has achieved.

Ponering a change of scenery? The District Council of Yankalilla has an exciting opportunity within the Operations Team as a Civil Works Team Member. The Civil Works Team Member is responsible for providing quality civil construction works through undertaking a range of tasks related to infrastructure construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, drainage and footpaths and to ensure that all works are carried out to meet the value and cost objectives of Council and to project the image of Council as both efficient and courteous in all its operations.
