Running until 31 January, this is Australia’s biggest library-supported reading challenge for kids and teens aged 0–18. 🎉 Celebrating the people who make a difference – every day This week, East Gippsland Shire Council came together to celebrate our people and their incredible contribution to our organisation and community through the Living Our Values Awards. The annual awards recognise individuals and teams who live our values of Respect, Collaboration, Integrity and Accountability – and our All-Rounder award honours those who embody them all. CEO Fiona Weigall said the record number of nominations this year reflected the strong sense of pride, teamwork and commitment across our organisation. “Our people are also community members themselves, and it’s important we acknowledge their contribution not only to our organisation but to the communities in which they live.” Award recipients represented diverse teams and services including construction, place planning, governance, health and safety, youth, parks and gardens, waste and agribusiness.
