Growing and protecting koala habitat has never been more important. 🐨 Koalas are listed as endangered in NSW, Queensland and the ACT. It is vital we plant and protect more habitat to provide food and homes for these unique animals. Greenfleet is restoring protected, biodiverse forests to support our koalas and other native wildlife. With over 550 forests planted across Australia, we are delivering practical action for this beloved species and legally protecting each forest with an on title agreement for up to 100 years. Here are just some of the regions we’re restoring koala habitat: 🌳 South East Queensland: Koala Crossing in Qld makes up part of the largest remaining continuous stretch of open eucalypt forest in South East Queensland. 🌳 Northern New South Wales: Our Greentrees forest on the northern NSW Wilson River floodplain is improving connectivity for existing koala populations (see image). 🌳 Gippsland, Victoria: The Strzelecki Nature Link project in Victoria has confirmed the presence of the unique Strzelecki koala species. 🌳 Noosa Hinterland: Dangerbridge in Qld is growing native species for koala food and habitat that are now over 20 years old. With Greenfleet, you can support the restoration of habitat for our koalas and safeguarding their existence for future generations. We are celebrating 5 years of climate action with Grace Group! 🌱 The Grace Group is one of Australia’s largest service companies, providing relocation, logistics, and records management solutions for individuals and businesses across Australia and globally. By investing in a low-emissions vehicle fleet and offsetting unavoidable emissions through Greenfleet, Grace is setting an example of how to integrate sustainability across all aspects of their operations. Grace has supported projects in Victoria and Queensland to remove over 18,000 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere. These include the Strzelecki Nature Link on Boonwurrung Country in South Gippsland and Dangerbridge on Kabi Kabi Country in Queensland. Both are delivering significant climate action and restoring vital koala habitat. Craig Page, CEO of The Grace Group’s parent company said, "We’re proud to celebrate five years of partnership with Greenfleet, a milestone that reflects our shared commitment to meaningful climate action and a more sustainable future. It’s been inspiring to see our Grace volunteers play an active role in this journey, contributing their time and energy to support Greenfleet’s reforestation projects across Australia. We look forward to continuing this partnership with Greenfleet in the years ahead.” Through their partnership with us, the Grace Group team has also attended several of our planting days along the east coast, gaining first-hand experience in restoring nature and growing vital ecosystems. Greenfleet plants biodiverse, native species to grow resilient forests. 🌳 The impact of our work can be seen in the resilience of projects such as Back O’Slaters, growing on Gundungurra and Dharug Country near Canberra. This property once operated as a farm, but it was bushfires on the site in 2013 that made the owners consider revegetation. They approached Greenfleet to restore the land back to native forest. Back O’Slaters was planted in 2017 with locally native species. Greenfleet’s Revegetation team included many species to grow habitat for the native wildlife, such as manna gums (Eucalyptus viminalis) to provide food for koalas, and black sheoaks (Allocasuarina littoralis) for yellow-tailed black cockatoos. Fires impacted the region again in 2023. Areas of the project recovered well considering the intensity of the fire, and Greenfleet returned to restore some that didn’t survive. Through this process, we also restored an additional part of the property bringing the total reforestation area to over 75 hectares. Using site monitoring and observations from the landholders, we know that bare-nosed wombats, kangaroos and wallabies are now returning to the site. This native forest called Arnups Road is improving water quality! On Boonwurrung Country near Fish Creek, VIC, Greenfleet has restored over 5 hectares of cleared farmland to create a biodiverse ecosystem. 🌳 This important project will help filter rainwater, stabilise steep slopes to prevent landslips and support a productive farm. Trees like the swamp paperbark (Melaleuca ericafolia) will act as natural filters, ensuring cleaner waterways where agriculture and nature thrive together. Other unique species like the southern blue gum (Eucalyptus Globulus) were included to provide critical habitat for the endangered swift parrot. 🐦 Over time, Arnups Road will create windbreaks for livestock and capture around 10,000 tonnes of CO2-e over its lifetime - equivalent to the of nearly 500 Australians for a whole year! Discover how Arnups Road brings together sustainable agriculture and authentic climate action. Visit: https://lnkd.in/gMV3_BuK #GrowingHope #WildlifeConservation #Reforestation

We’re proud to be partnering with Winesmiths on their limited-edition wine collection with artist, Claire Ishino. Winesmiths is part of Hill-Smith Family Estates, a longtime supporter of Greenfleet. They are collaborating with South Australian artist Claire Ishino to celebrate the nature surrounding their vineyards. Claire creates colourful, botanical artworks that capture Australia’s beautiful native birds and flora so was the perfect partner for this collaboration. Winesmiths has donated $25,000 to Greenfleet to support the restoration of our native forest at Ledcourt, growing on Jardwadjali & Djabwurung Country in central Victoria. This generous donation builds on the incredible support from Hill-Smith and will continue restoring ecosystems to return biodiversity and grow wildlife habitat in the region. The Winesmiths x Claire Ishino collection is available across Australia and New Zealand for a limited time. It is GIS Day today! 🛰️ With over 550 forests growing in Australia and New Zealand, Greenfleet uses Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to support the planning and monitoring of our projects.🌳 The GIS software assists our Revegetation team as they plan and plant our native biodiverse forests, ensuring optimum outcomes for each project. Greenfleet’s GIS Officer Catherine James works closely with this spatial software, using it for detailed display and analysis of our forest sites. This includes initial assessments of the landscape and ongoing monitoring of forest growth as it matures. GIS is also vital for access to the most accurate and up-to-date data to track the growth of new plantings and existing vegetation, helping our Revegetation team in the management of each project. This video was compiled from Nearmap imagery that has been generated into a timelapse of our Devilbend Reservoir Park project, which is growing on Boonwurrung Country on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. Here you can see the forest’s progress from 2010 to 2025. Greenfleet is expanding our work in South Gippsland! 🌳 Mt Emily makes up part of our Strzelecki Nature Link, located on Boonwurrung Country in South Gippsland, Victoria. Previously cleared for farming, Greenfleet began been restoring Mt Emily in 2024. Greenfleet is planting over 20 different locally native species to return the Ecological Vegetation Classes (EVC) of damp forest and wet forest to the area. These EVCs are important as they support local native wildlife such as Strzelecki koalas and many local bird species. One unique and critically endangered species we have planted is the Strzelecki gum (Eucalyptus strzeleckii). These seedlings, along with six other eucalypts, will develop up to 30 metres in height, forming the all-important forest canopy and providing protection for other trees. The Strzelecki Nature Link is protected from being cleared for 100-years with a legal on title agreement. It will benefit the environment and native wildlife for generations to come. Greenfleet is restoring critical koala habitat on Bundjalung Country! 🐨 Located near Lismore in New South Wales, Greentrees is growing into a thriving native forest that supports endangered koalas and local wildlife. Since 2021, Greenfleet has planted over 1,000 hectares of legally protected koala habitat across eastern Australia, with Greentrees playing a key role in this effort. Species such as the forest red gum (Eucalyptus tereticornis), a vital food source for koalas, make up around 30% of the trees planted here. Multiple koala sightings at Greentrees, including this mum and her joey, already show how quickly restoration benefits ecosystems and strengthens biodiversity.🌳 This forest is legally protected for 100 years and will capture nearly 13,000 tonnes of CO₂-e over its lifetime while creating safe and lasting habitat for generations to come.🌿 To learn more, visit: https://lnkd.in/gKJ5vJ_4 #GrowingHope #Koala #Habitat #Reforestation

The consultation window for the Nature and Carbon Scheme closes this Friday, and there is still time to provide your feedback on this ambitious new initiative. Together with a team from the Australian National University (ANU), Greenfleet has design an innovative scheme that aims to address climate change and biodiversity loss in Australia. The Scheme supports high-quality carbon removal projects that restore native forests and ecosystems. It aims to overcome integrity issues in existing carbon markets by ensuring transparency, accountability, and measurable environmental outcomes. Key goals of the scheme include: • Promoting projects that deliver real, additional, and permanent carbon abatement. • Ensuring projects provide demonstrable benefits to native biodiversity. • Establishing a national registry for accredited projects. • Avoiding complexity, financial speculation, and low-integrity offsets. We invite you to learn more about the proposed Nature and Carbon Scheme and share your perspective. To review the draft scheme and provide feedback, please click here: https://lnkd.in/ghw4x2V9 The consultation period closes this Friday 14 November 2025. #NatureandCarbon #ClimateAction #Sustainability
