We’re excited to introduce Collective Foundation — a new not-for-profit organisation from restaurateur Christopher Lucas, fostering the next generation of hospitality talent through community building, education and career development, innovation support and job training. Focused on raising awareness of the many varied career opportunities that exist within the hospitality sector, and supporting the industry’s future growth, Collective Foundation has also partnered with La Trobe University to conduct research, and build bespoke, professional education for the sector. We’re so honoured to be celebrating some incredible accolades from Australia's Wine List of the Year Awards, which were announced overnight in Sydney. Among them, Maison Bâtard took the title of Best New Wine List, while Society was awarded Best Digestif List, Best Listing of Museum & Rare Wines and, for the third year running, best Listing of French Wines. In the program’s overall judging, Kisumé, Grill Americano, Society and Chin Chin Sydney were again awarded the highest rating of Three Wine Glasses, impressively joined by Maison Bâtard in its debut year. Yakimono and Chin Chin Melbourne also earned high praise, each list given Two Wine Glasses. This is considered to be Australia’s most prestigious wine list award program and our team can be very proud of the recognition — a huge congratulations to them all.
We’re incredibly proud to congratulate our own Reuben Beasley-Palmer, Bar Manager at Maison Bâtard, who has taken out top honours in the professional category of the 2025 Australian National Suntory Cup. This prestigious cocktail competition draws a who’s who of Australia’s top bartending talent each year, and to win is an exceptional achievement.
We’re thrilled to share that two of our beautiful spaces have been shortlisted in the 2025 Eat Drink Design Awards, with both Maison Bâtard and Tombo Den named as finalists for Best Restaurant Design. A big congratulations to our talented design team, and collaborators Mitchell & Eades and DKO Architecture for this well-deserved recognition.
