  • Youth Take Over: A collaboration between Boort District Health (BDH) & Boort District School, facilitated by us! Students spent time with BDH, learning about the different sectors of the hospital. The students developed and showcased youth-friendly resources, redesigned signage, and innovative communication ideas developed during their time with our BDH team. Their creativity, thoughtfulness, and fresh perspectives to promote our health service were truly impressive! The event was fully packed, attended by teachers, families, community members, BDH staff, our residents, and guests from the LLEN, the Department of Education, and neighbouring organisations. Thank you to Boort District Health & Boort District School staff for your dedication to our local young people. The Youth Take Over (YTO) program is a joint initiative of the Loddon Campaspe LLENs, designed to equip young people with the skills, experiences, and resources needed for a smooth transition from school to work. It is a practical, out-of-the classroom industry project where Vocational Major (VM) Year 11 and 12 students engage in real-world tasks. Thank you to BDH for the photos and information.
