  • Kids Help Phone was proud to participate in #eMHIC25, the 10th Digital Mental Health Global Congress in Toronto, where leaders from across the globe came together to shape the future of digital mental health equity. Leading the way in mental health innovation, KHP shared how acceleratorKHP and Resources Around Me are transforming youth mental health support through co-design, AI and evidence-based solutions that put young people at the centre of their care. Being part of this congress reinforced the power of global collaboration in addressing the mental health crisis. These conversations are essential as we work together to ensure every young person has access to the support they need, when they need it. Thank you to eMental Health International Collaborative (eMHIC) for creating this space to drive meaningful change and ensuring young people everywhere have a place to #FeelOutLoud.

One year ago, we were honoured to be chosen as one of 25 charities to receive support from Dollarama and The Rossy Foundation | La Fondation Rossy's remarkable $30 million national charitable giving initiative. Since then, this generous gift has helped us be there for youth across Canada almost 3 million times through phone, text, online message and digital resources at KidsHelpPhone.ca. For many young people, it was their first time connecting with Kids Help Phone. Thank you to Dollarama and The Rossy Foundation for helping ensure young people from coast to coast to coast have a space to #FeelOutLoud.

  • Last week, Greo Evidence Insights (Greo), CCSA (Communities Confronting Substance Use & Addiction) Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) and Mental Health Research Canada (MHRC) released a report regarding online gambling among young people in Canada. The number of young people seeking support from Kids Help Phone (KHP) for gambling addiction via text increased by 63% between January and October 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Notably, these conversations peaked during major sporting events. Easier access to online gambling platforms and more advertising may be contributing to how young people encounter gambling. KHP is committed to offering 24/7, confidential support to young people who may be having difficulty managing their gambling habits. If a young person in your life is having difficulty managing their gambling habits or would like support, help is available 24/7: Call 1-800-668-6868 Youth can text 686868 Adults can text 741741 Message online at KidsHelpPhone.ca Visit the Resources Around Me tool on KidsHelpPhone.ca to search for gambling supports nearest your community.
