💰Helping money perform better! ⚽ That is our motto – and last weekend we showed football fans of  1. FC Union Berlin ❤️ what we mean by that: We placed claw machines in the stadium for fans to try their luck at winning Union match tickets, jerseys, and scarves or an upgrade to the VIP box.🎫 And it didn’t end there: we also doubled the beverage sizes of 5,000 beverages so fans could raise their glasses, literally, to what we are all about. Pay for less, get more, reflecting our motto; and the fans loved it!♥️ A huge shout out to all our colleagues who helped make this possible: Matthias Rodenbücher, Benedikt Voller, Christoph Moock, Luzia Rode, Maxim Karliner, Monalisa Chikezie, and Sven Rodrigues, as well as to our partner SPORTFIVE and 1. FC Union Berlin who supported us along the way. Check out our favourite matchday moments – behind Doekhi’s two goals and Union having Bayern on the brink of defeat of course. 😎

👉 Igwe bụ ike. Unity is strength. For one Raisineer, this phrase is part of her identity. Meet Ijeoma Okeahialam, originally from Nigeria, she’s now CS Operations Manager at Raisin in Berlin, and this is her story. 😀 Where were you born and what shaped you? I was born and raised in Nigeria, and currently live in Germany. I would say Nigeria is where my cultural foundation and identity came from. Germany has given me a whole new experience and opportunities to grow in different ways. So living in both places has shaped me. 🇩🇪 When did you move to Germany? Do you speak German? I moved here in 2018 for my master’s degree. My goal was to go to a country where I could learn a new language. I also had an uncle who studied in Germany. And when we were young, he told us stories about his time here, which I always found interesting. With that on my mind, I looked forward to coming here one day. I speak German fairly well and I’m steadily improving through regular practice. 🤗 What makes you happy? Staying connected to who I am, my identity and my faith as well. In Germany, I found great opportunities, the time to explore more diversity, and exposure to people from different walks of life. The ability to explore new cultures, especially here in Berlin and Germany as a whole, inspires me. This and just living a life where I feel balanced and proud contribute to my happiness. 🗺️ What's your favourite place here and why? The Museum Island in Berlin is my favourite. It has such incredible art and history that visiting this place is so inspiring. It gives me an opportunity to think about what transpired in the past, and a peek into stories from around the world; some of them even have connections to our African heritage, which is particularly interesting to me. Walking through the galleries surrounded by centuries of human culture reminds me of the beauty of diversity and how history has shaped who we are today. 💬 Which proverb in your native language is your favourite? We are known for many adages and proverbs, but this one stands out in my native language: Igwe bụ ike - Unity is strength. This comes from the African background where traditionally some works, like farming and building, were done collectively. This proverb emphasises that more can be achieved when people work together as a team – through collective effort, collaboration, and the sharing of ideas. Thank you, Ijeoma. 🌍 With our #Younique interviews we want to give you a glimpse of who we are. 👉 So stay tuned to get to know more Raisineers.

On the pitch or in your finances; taking responsibility makes all the difference ⚽💸 Last night, at Alte Försterei, we hosted an event bringing football and finance together. Shortly before the women’s FC Union Berlin vs. VfL Wolfsburg football match, we hosted an event exploring the parallels between football and finance; and how the same values drive success in both. Together, we celebrated the values that win on the pitch and in life: perseverance, fairness, team spirit and how they translate into smart money choices. Anna Aehling (player for 1. FC Union Berlin) emphasised the importance of having a plan for the future both on the field and in personal finance and how it is crucial for long term financial success. Building on that, our CCO Katharina Lueth shared insights from our latest study on financial health, which highlights that only 32% women agree that their pension is secure, further emphasising that today’s choices have a long term impact on the pension gap; and that everyone can benefit from taking proactive steps toward financial independence. Swipe to see a few moments from the evening. ⚽

Raisin has expanded its investment offering to the Netherlands! 🇳🇱 For the first time, Dutch savers can invest through Raisin with transparent, low-cost portfolios. In the Netherlands, households still keep most of their money in savings accounts. For every three euros saved, only one euro is invested. That means many miss out on long-term returns and the chance to build wealth over time. 📈 With our new investment offering, we’re making it easier for Dutch consumers to change that. Our highest-risk portfolio (fully invested in stocks) has achieved an average return of 9.5% per year since 2018 – well above our long-term goal of 7.4%. 🔼 We continue on our mission: savings and investments without barriers. 🌍 Because everyone deserves the tools to grow their money and shape their financial future.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙣𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙧 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙜𝙖𝙥? That’s the question we pose today at Frankfurt’s Roßmarkt – with a very visible demonstration: a station wagon filled with money. 🚗 💸 The stunt draws attention to a simple but overlooked truth. A new car loses around a quarter of its value in the first year. 📉 By opting for a nearly-new vehicle instead and investing the savings, drivers can build up substantial retirement reserves. 📈 Our new Auto-Savings-Calculator (link below) makes this tangible: it shows how much a single smart car purchase can add to pension wealth, depending on age and vehicle price. For example, a 50-year-old choosing a used car instead of new could see a five-figure boost to their retirement savings. Younger buyers, thanks to compound returns, could end up with six-figure sums. 💶 💶 💶 The point is not to skip the car altogether – but to rethink how everyday financial decisions link directly to long-term security. And sometimes, the difference between a shiny new model and a one-year-old car can translate into decades of better retirement planning. Feel free to stop by in Frankfurt and say hi to our CCO Katharina Lueth and our VP Communications Anja Rechtsteiner! 👋

Keen to discuss funding and deposits ❓ It’s a topic we’ve been driving for more than a decade: helping banks diversify their funding sources and strengthen their funding mix through access to retail deposits. 💶 We’re looking forward to discussing these topics at 👉 Sibos 2025, from September 29 to October 2 at Messe Frankfurt Germany. Our team, Carina Ewald, Phil Alcock, and Waldemar Faltenberg, looks forward to exchanging ideas on funding strategies, liquidity and interest rate developments, and to exploring how deposits raised through Raisin can add value to your bank’s funding mix. 💡 👉 Let’s connect in Frankfurt. Reach out to our team above and schedule a meeting.
