Millions of disabled travelers will face even more barriers during the holidays, and Forbes dives into how we can all be more aware as we head out to spend time with our loved ones. Paralympic gold medalist Ezra Frech said, “There are a billion people globally who have a disability, but even as elite Paralympians, we experience difficulty traveling.” He continues, “The world is not made for people with disabilities. We talk about diversity, equity, and inclusion all the time, and disability is that one minority group that just lags behind. This is stuff that we don't talk about because there's a stigma around disability. People don't know what to say. They don't want to say the wrong thing; they don't want to offend anyone. Fellow Paralympian Lindi Marcusen added, “The last thing I want is people with disabilities staying in their homes, thinking that they have nothing to offer the world.
