Amadeus is proud to be part of a world-first in Indonesia, where we have been working to deploy AI-powered seamless corridors, enabling biometric on-the-move identity verification at scale. Through a collaboration with the Directorate General of Immigration, two corridors are now live at Jakarta Airport, with a third coming to Surabaya. This innovation means passengers can share their passport details ahead of travel and, when they walk through the corridor, their identity is verified seamlessly, without stopping, showing documents, or queuing. During peak times, including the Hajj pilgrimage, the system has demonstrated its power with more than 30 border crossings per minute, delivering a significant increase in capacity compared to traditional gates. At Amadeus, we believe this is the future of travel: a secure, efficient, and truly seamless passenger experience. Amadeus is proud to unveil the world’s first biometric corridors deployed at scale. In partnership with Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration, our new biometrics-on-the-move technology is now live across two Amadeus Seamless Corridors at Jakarta airport, with a third in place at Surabaya. For eligible travellers, border checks no longer mean stopping, searching for documents or slowing down. Instead, AI-powered biometrics confirm identities effortlessly, while passengers continue walking. The result is a complete shift in the immigration experience, from queues and bottlenecks to a fast, fluid and truly seamless arrival. As Rudy Daniello, Executive Vice President, AirOps, Amadeus, puts it: “The Seamless Corridor is the ‘jewel in the crown’ of our end-to-end portfolio for seamless travel, helping to remove friction and queues at the border.” Find out more about this transformative technology: https://lnkd.in/ew6ZK2fZ #Transformation #Technology #Collaboration #Airports

Want to find out more about how the first-ever integration of the Altéa Departure Control Flight Management System with Amadeus’ Baggage Reconciliation System helped Qatar Aviation Services overhaul how it handles bags at Hamad International Airport? This integration helped save 15 minutes of manual work per flight. When rolled out across all flights, this is likely to equate to nearly 70,000 hours, or around 3,000 days of manual work in a typical year, helping to transform the airport experience. In this new blog, Murat Nursel, Senior Vice President, Qatar Aviation Services, explores how the change was implemented and what it means for passengers arriving in Qatari capital Doha. Encouraging news from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), with the latest 2025 Global Passenger Survey arguing mobile and digital ID are the ‘future of travel’. New figures—based on over 10,000 responses from more than 200 countries—reveal high levels of satisfaction with biometrics, with 85% of passengers who have used the technology saying they are happy with the experience. Elsewhere, 74% say they would be willing to share their biometric information if it means they can skip showing a passport or boarding pass at checkpoints like check-in, security, border control, and boarding. The survey also finds passengers want their smartphones to do more for them – and 78% want to use a smartphone that combines a digital wallet, digital passport, and loyalty cards to book, pay, and navigate airport processes. At Amadeus we are making the experience of travel better by enabling seamless journeys and more efficient airport operations powered by data exchange and collaboration – and it is great to see passengers showing support for this ambition.
