At COP30 in Belém, one message was loud and clear: “transforming agriculture & food systems” has its rightful place in the Official COP Action Agenda. Without resilient food systems, there is no sustainable future. At Danone, we’ve known this for years, and we’ve been walking the talk. In 2015, we were among the first 100 companies to commit to achieving Net Zero by 2050. In 2023, we also pledged to cut fresh milk methane emissions by 30% by 2030. Our sustainability roadmap, the Danone Impact Journey, is continuously driving us to build a future-fit business – while creating positive impact for people and the planet. But commitments alone don’t change the game – action does. That’s why we invest in regenerative agriculture, focusing on healthier soils and nature-based solutions to restore ecosystems and strengthen livelihoods. In Brazil, our Flora project is a powerful example: in just four years, we’ve reduced milk CO₂ footprint by 47% and boosted farmers’ net revenue by 37%. Behind these numbers are human stories: farmers and communities co-creating change. Because while targets are all well and good, what really matters is impact – and that’s achieved by real people and real collaboration. Farmers, communities, governments, companies, all acting together to accelerate systemic change and secure sustainable food systems for generations to come. A huge thank you to all our Danoners working day in and day out to build more resilient supply chains and robust food systems, ensuring a healthy future for all! #RENEWDANONE COP30 Brazil #COP30 #RegenerativeAgriculture

Meet Anisa from Indonesia. Eight years ago, she noticed something wasn’t right with her child. After consulting a doctor, she discovered he had iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency affects 4 out of 10 children under five*, with serious consequences for their growth, learning, and future development. Yet, simple actions like screening and balanced diets can help detect and prevent it. Anisa’s story is a powerful reminder: iron deficiency anemia should never stand in the way of a child’s potential. At Danone, we are committed to supporting children’s health and building an Iron-Strong Generation. #IronStrong *Anemia in women and children (WHO 2019)

Big step forward on water stewardship! Danone was recently ranked #1 out of 71 global companies in the Valuing Water Finance Initiative Benchmark, from Ceres and Quantis. Since 2023, we’ve gone from “on track” to “leading the way.” This is a clear sign that we’re serious about protecting water – one of the planet’s most precious resources.    Moving forward, we’ll keep pushing on water quantity, quality, ecosystem protection, and access to water and sanitation – hand in hand with local communities and relevant actors. Because, as COP30 reminds us, we need to move faster, together, with solutions that work for people and ecosystems. And that means collaboration.   Bravo to our teams and partners who make water stewardship real every day. Let’s keep raising the bar!   🔗 Read the full report 👉 https://lnkd.in/ejhmfitz #RenewDanone #DanoneImpactJourney #COP30

It was a pleasure to talk with Susan Zaripheh, PhD, Takoua Debeche and Shawn Hueglin today about the great interest in high-protein foods today, and where the protein conversation should be going. It all comes down to health goals: different needs demand different proteins. Protein is more than a nutrient – it’s a strategic tool to support maintenance, strength, recovery, and resilience. With a deep understanding of changing consumer needs–across all life stages, lifestyles, and through health challenges – our science and technology teams are pioneering protein solutions for better health through food.  In our R&I site in Louisville, we shared our views on the future of protein and took a deep dive into two of Danone’s latest protein innovations. Oikos Fusion: for consumers going through rapid weight loss, a patented protein blend helps rebuild muscle, while a light, liquid texture allows that protein to be absorbed quickly. And Silk Protein: a plant-based option with a 13g of protein and natural soy fiber. Thanks to everyone who joined this hands-on experience with us! Isabelle Esser Pam Schultz E. Whitney Evans PhD, RD Ardy van Helvoort Nancy Dowling #RENEWDANONE YoPRO Danone Research & Innovation

Shaping the future of dairy farming – sustainably!    For years, we've known that food systems are central to climate action. Now, with COP30 putting them firmly on the global agenda, there's hope that this knowledge will turn into widespread action.    We're already moving from ambition to impact. In Brazil, for example, our Flora project is helping over 150 farmers transform milk production into a more sustainable practice—cutting emissions, improving livelihoods, and enhancing milk quality.    This is regenerative agriculture in action. And it’s why we’re scaling these efforts globally—because transforming food systems is not just possible, it’s essential.  #RenewDanone #COP30 #WeAreDanone

Flexi-what?! Flexitarian – that is, someone who mostly eats plant-based foods (think Alpro, Silk), with a smattering of animal products, like nutritious dairy products (Activia, Actimel, Danone, the list goes on and on!).   As flexitarians know, stirring things up is what counts! A diverse, varied flexitarian diet, healthy for you💪 and the planet🌍!
