🌍 Après la COP30, un constat s’impose : malgré le Global Methane Pledge, les émissions de méthane ne diminuent toujours pas assez vite. Comme le souligne Le Figaro, le dernier rapport du Programme des Nations unies pour l’environnement (PNUE) montre que, quatre ans après l’engagement de plus de 150 pays à réduire de 30 % leurs émissions de méthane d’ici 2030, les progrès restent largement insuffisants. Pour Antoine Rostand, président et cofondateur de Kayrros, la technologie n’est pas le problème : nous savons détecter les fuites de méthane depuis l’espace. Le frein, selon lui, vient de l’absence de mesures réellement contraignantes et d’une dépendance à des engagements volontaires qui ne suffisent pas à compenser l’inaction de certains acteurs. 🌍 Kayrros at the Paris Peace Forum 2025! Kayrros President Antoine Rostand shares the stage with Mia Amor Mottley, Patrick Pouyanné, Marcelo Mena and other dignitaries this Wednesday, October 29 for a day-long special session of the Paris Peace Forum on climate on the 10th anniversary of the Climate Paris Agreement. Antoine will participate in a roundtable on methane and energy from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Since 2018, the Paris Peace Forum has endeavored to reinvent diplomacy in a changing world marked by geopolitical shifts, technological disruption and climate change. This year’s edition takes place on the 10th anniversary of COP21 and its mission has never been more relevant. The session will be opened by Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, Environment Minister Monique Barbut, European Climate Foundation CEO Laurence Tubiana and COP30 President André Corrêa do Lago. 📉 The new Commodity Picture is here — and reveals an intriguing shift in U.S. tight oil. Kayrros geospatial data shows early signs that the U.S. shale sector’s long run of “doing more with less” is grinding to halt. • Drilling and completions in the Permian are trending lower — and this time, efficiency gains are not enough to keep current production levels. • Our proprietary Reservoir Exposure Index suggests a decline in new well productivity that isn't fully captured in current EIA forecasts. • Frac-crew counts, rig activity, and completions are all down since early 2025 — raising questions about near-term output sustainability. Add in Tier 1-acreage depletion, depleting DUC inventories, and continued market uncertainty — and the risk of a production slowdown looks high.
