A new chapter for Europe in space begins with the strong outcomes of the 2025 European Space Agency - ESA Ministerial Council in Bremen, Germany. A landmark step for Europe’s space future and a clear recognition of the strategic value of space to build a sustainable planet, to continue our journey to explore and to discover outer space, for the benefit of our economies, resilience and security. With a record-breaking commitment of €22.1 billion by #ESA Member States for the next three years, Europe is strengthening its capacity to act in critical domains such as Earth observation, telecommunications, navigation, exploration, science and space safety, while reinforcing its strategic autonomy. Leonardo — together with the joint ventures Telespazio, Thales Alenia Space and e-GEOS — is ready to transform these political and programmatic decisions into solid, leading-edge technological evolutions, new products, new solutions and industrial capabilities. From advanced satellite infrastructures, added value services and sophisticated payloads to digital technologies such as AI, cloud, high-performance computing and quantum solutions, from Earth observation constellations and AI-powered data analytics platforms to navigation and secure telecommunication services, from advanced robotics to emerging on-orbit service capabilities, we stand prepared to support ESA, national space agencies and governments of our large geographical footprint in implementing the Ministerial’s outcomes for the benefit of Europe. Driven by innovation, partnerships and industrial excellence, #Leonardo is committed to continuing to advance technologies to power Europe’s future and sovereignty in space. Congratulations to ESA and all the Member States for this achievement! Josef Aschbacher #CM25 #LeonardoSpace
