Mizuho is proud to be a signatory to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Statement of Support for Energy Transition Credits, an initiative to advance transition credits to accelerate the phase-out of coal-fired power plants with renewable energy sources. Since 2023, Mizuho has been a partner in the Transition Credits Coalition (TRACTION), a multi-stakeholder initiative convened by Singapore’s central bank at COP28 to promote high-integrity carbon credits across Asia. The TRACTION Final Report was launched at COP30 this year, marking a significant milestone in the establishment of transition credits as a mechanism to drive coal-to-clean transitions. Through the development of financing solutions for transition credits, Mizuho will continue to support both economic growth and energy transition in Asia. From bold flags and striking spheres to the thunderous beats of Taiko drummers and elegant dancers, our procession proudly welcomed Dame Susan Langley DBE, the 697th Lord Mayor of London and the first ever to hold the title Lady Mayor of London. Walking alongside our London charity partner Little Village, whose mission we proudly support, made this occasion even more meaningful.
