🌊 Pushing boundaries, delivering results! To support Harbour Energy's inspection campaign in the North Sea, we deployed two Blue Essence® uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) alongside Atlantis Dweller. The result? 🌍 87% reduction of fuel consumed compared to traditional methods ⏳ 2.5 days freed for conventional vessel to undertake critical work 💡 100 km of pipeline inspected, with data delivered in real-time This was the first time two USVs operated together on a project in Europe – and the furthest offshore they’ve ever operated. 🌊 Another proud milestone for Fugro! We have officially launched our remote operating Centre (ROC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The on-site, state-of-the-art facility enables us to perform more remote offshore survey work for our clients. What if you could learn about all the animal species in an offshore wind farm without disturbing a single creature? Meet Daniel van Berkel and Auriel Sumner-Hempel from Wageningen University & Research, who are doing just that! They’re using environmental DNA (eDNA), tiny traces of genetic material naturally shed into the water, to non-invasively collect data at the CrossWindHKN wind farm as part of the BeWild project.
