    1. Download Presto and follow the instructions in docs on how to deploy, configure, and run in your environment.
    2. Join the Presto slack channel, the best place to ask questions and troubleshoot your specific issues.

    There are many ways to start contributing to open-source Presto. Here’s a recommended set of steps to begin your journey.

    1. Join the Presto slack channel, the best place to ask questions and connect with other Presto engineers.
    2. Read the contributing to Presto guidelines to understand community guidelines and get ideas on what areas need work.
    3. Not sure where to start? Look at good first issue tickets – you can use these to get your feet wet!
    4. Ready for more? Check out project boards for open work.
    5. Join a Presto Working Group – Architecture, Optimizer, Native Worker (Presto C++) – if you’re interested in contributing to these areas.
