At #COP30 in Belém, our Head of Nature & Climate Solutions, Dr Laurence T.P. Jassogne, delivered a powerful message on the panel “Regional Collaboration and Innovation on Food Production”, joining Chee Wee Lee, Za'iem Halbi, CEng FIMechE and moderator Rueban Manokara. Laurence shared the stark reality observed across Olam Agri’s global supply chains: farmers from Australia to Southeast Asia, Africa to Brazil are already confronting climate volatility, unpredictable rains, shifting seasons and rising production risks. These lived experiences reinforce why adaptation sits at the heart of Olam Agri’s projects. She spotlighted two examples of innovation driving resilience: 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 Laurence explained how Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) modifies the hydrology of rice paddies by introducing controlled aerobic phases, which interrupt methanogenesis in the soil profile. While typically discussed for its methane-reduction potential, AWD simultaneously reduces irrigation intensity, fuel use for pumping, and the overall input burden on farmers. 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 With 30–40% of food lost from field to fork, she highlighted how simple, locally adapted solutions: harvest mechanisation, hermetic bags and humidity cards, can dramatically increase farmer incomes while reducing spoilage. These efforts rely on deep partnerships with local organisations to ensure solutions are practical, context-specific and scalable. In closing, Laurence reflected on the importance of staying curious and learning from diverse models across regions. Technical innovation matters, but so do the soft structures, governance, incentives, community buy-in, that ultimately determine whether solutions scale. #COP30 #ClimateAdaptation #NaturePositive #OlamAgri #ClimateSolutions Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore) Singapore Food Agency International Association for Agricultural Sustainability (IAAS) WWF Brunei Climate Change Office (BCCO)

At #COP30 last week, our Chief Sustainability Officer Julie Greene joined a powerful panel on “Unlocking Adaptation Finance for Sustainable Food Systems Transformation”, with Andy Jarvis, Imelda (Dada) Bacudo, Danielle Carreira, Joel Tee and moderated by Mirte Gosker. Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, Singapore, Grace Fu, opened the session with a fireside chat. The discussion centred on a hard truth: food and agriculture contribute a third of global emissions yet receive less than 5% of climate finance, and the world’s 600 million smallholder farmers are bearing the brunt of climate impacts without the financing needed to adapt. Julie underscored that the greatest climate vulnerability lies in low-latitude farming regions, where unpredictable rain, extreme heat, and shifting seasons are already cutting yields. Yet these are the very regions where finance is most risk-averse. She highlighted three major gaps that urgently need to be closed: 𝟭. 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗲 Climate finance often seeks “investable” cases, but smallholders need grant and concessional finance first, to unlock the technologies, tools and extension services that allow them to transition. 𝟮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁-𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 Farmers are often in what Julie called “regenerative agriculture deserts”, with little to no access to cover crop seeds, tools for minimum tillage, advisory support, or the knowledge needed to change practices. Finance must be designed not just for the farmer, but for an entire enabling ecosystem. 𝟯. 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 Julie shared about Olam Agri’s Thailand’s rice programme with 19,000 farmers using alternate wetting and drying, improved fertiliser management and better stubble practices, boosting farmer profits by 20%, while cutting emissions by 20–40%. 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗲’𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗢𝗣𝟯𝟬: The innovations exist. The know-how exists. What we need now is catalytic finance, stronger partnerships, and the courage to place farmers at the centre of every climate investment strategy. #GlobalSouth #ClimateAction #SustainableAgriculture #Resilience #OlamAgri Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore) Singapore Food Agency The Good Food Institute FAO Bezos Earth Fund National Climate Change Secretariat, Singapore World Economic Forum Tropical Forest Alliance

Olam Agri has become the first company in the EMEA region to be issued carbon insetting units under the newly launched Regenagri Carbon Insetting Programme. This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to producing low-carbon cotton by embedding regenerative agricultural practices across our cotton supply chains. By improving soil health, enhancing biodiversity and building climate resilience on-farm, we are reducing emissions and transforming the fibre lifecycle for the better. #OlamAgri #RegenerativeAgriculture #SustainableCotton
🌱 Introducing the Regenagri Carbon Insetting Platform This new platform, a fundamental element of our pioneering Carbon Insetting Programme, allows companies to easily acquire carbon insetting units generated by farms within their own supply chains. It gives participating farms and companies access to a personalised dashboard of programme-related data, including details of their own carbon unit transactions. The platform lists all participants, facilitating connections between carbon unit generating producers, manufacturers, retailers and brands. Forging the way in unit generation are two Regenagri partners: food, feed and fibre agri-business SECO - Olam Agri – the first in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to be issued with Regenagri carbon insetting units, and sustainable denim manufacturer, Artistic Milliners; who generated the first units in Asia. We had the pleasure of hosting representatives from Helen Keller Intl (HKI) and the Gates Foundation at our wheat milling facility in Diamniadio, Dakar. The visit focused on a shared priority of advancing mass food fortification to improve public health in Senegal. During the tour, our team showcased how Olam Agri is fortifying wheat flour with essential micronutrients as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting national nutrition goals and building healthier communities. The discussions that followed were rich and forward-looking, covering opportunities to: ✨ scale up fortification efforts across the value chain, ✨ strengthen regulatory frameworks, and ✨ leverage public–private partnerships for greater national impact. We were encouraged by the Gates Foundation’s interest in supporting initiatives that align with nutrition security and long-term development outcomes. Together with HKI, several promising areas for collaboration emerged, including technical support, advocacy, and potential co-investment in fortification infrastructure. #FoodFortification #NutritionSecurity #PublicHealth #Senegal #Partnerships #OlamAgri Sapan Kumar Habib Ndaw Binta Diallo

Our team in Ghana hosted a high-level government delegation led by Ghana’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah, and the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness & Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, at our flour factory in Tema last week for a working visit to review progress on our new pasta manufacturing plant. Set to begin production in Q1 2026, the facility is designed to significantly reduce Ghana’s reliance on imported pasta, stabilise consumer prices, and create more opportunities across the agro-industrial value chain. When fully operational, it will support hundreds of direct and indirect jobs while delivering large-scale, energy-efficient production. During the tour, Mr. Debrah highlighted the project’s strong alignment with the government’s 24-hour economy initiative, calling it a timely investment that reflects the kind of round-the-clock, productive industrial capacity Ghana aims to build. Hon. Ofosu-Adjare also commended the initiative, noting that it demonstrates Ghana’s commitment to deepening local processing and expanding quality jobs within the agribusiness sector. Our Country Head, Baibhav Biswas, reaffirmed Olam Agri's commitment to increasing local processing and value addition in Ghana, strengthening national food security, and developing competitive, export-ready manufacturing capacity. He also highlighted the plant’s efficient, scalable technology and reduced environmental footprint, underscoring Olam Agri’s focus on building a sustainable and resilient agro-industrial value chain for Ghana. On 5 November in Brussels, Olam Agri joined leading businesses at the European Parliament dialogue on the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (#EUDR). The session was hosted by Member of the European Parliament, Pascal Canfin. Representing Olam Agri, Victoire De Wever, Partnership & Engagement Manager, Global CR&S, shared how we are translating regulatory commitments into practical action by building robust, end-to-end traceability systems and making long-term investments that strengthen compliance while supporting farmers on the ground. In natural rubber, we have polygon-mapped more than 60,000 smallholders across Côte d’Ivoire and Indonesia, with TSR pallets barcoded and GPS-linked to ensure traceability from farm to factory. In forestry, our FSC-certified concession in the Republic of Congo tracks each harvested tree back to its stump, reinforcing transparency and legal compliance. With partners across our value chains, we remain committed to advancing responsible sourcing and helping shape a level playing field for sustainable, deforestation-free commodities.
