About us

Fettle is a boutique interior architecture and design firm specialising within the hospitality sector. We work with a variety of clients, from one off operators and start-ups to large commercial brands. We create beautiful, functional spaces which portray their history, their location and their ethos. From our offices in London and Los Angeles, we provide a full spectrum of services, from space planning and project feasibility studies, to bespoke lighting and furniture design. We work hand in hand with the whole construction team throughout a given project to ensure that our design work is fully co-ordinated and seamlessly delivered on site. Our two studios work collaboratively across all projects. This allows us to oversee current projects in London, Rome, Los Angeles, Portland and New York, ensuring a consistently high level of both design and service to each and every client.

We are thrilled to share our work on Sirrah, the Meatpacking District’s newest modern French restaurant from Ryan Harris (September Hospitality) and chef Cody Pruitt. We embraced a bold, maximalist approach to the design of the 120-seat space, inspired by the opulent atmosphere of a New York supper club. This maximalism is expressed through a vivid interplay of patterns and colours, featuring layered textiles, mismatched furniture and eclectic details. Rich burled oak wall paneling and blackened mirrors infuse the space with sophistication and ornate glass chandeliers add drama. Photography: Pablo Enriquez

  • We are thrilled to share our work on Bar Issi - our fourth collaboration with Boujis Group. Set within the recently-opened Thompson Palm Springs, the restaurant and bar’s design follows a simple brief: more is more! Inspired by iconic 1970s imagery of Mediterranean glamour along the Italian coastline, the restaurant and the bar channels a playful aesthetic. The exuberant colour palette is brought to life through the abundant use of recycled and sustainable materials. Photography: Pablo Enriquez

We are proud to unveil the interiors for The July, a brand new apartment-hotel in the heart of Victoria, London. Our scope of work for the project included the Ground Floor, including the lobby, The Idler Restaurant, deli and bar - which are also open to the public - and an event space. We also designed the guestrooms and the two residential apartments as well as the Basement which features a wellness area and gym. We worked in collaboration with The July’s in-house design team as well as Studio Moren who looked after the architectural aspects of the project. Photography: Helen Cathcart

  • We are excited to unveil the interiors for Cicchetti Piccadilly for the San Carlo Restaurant Group. The new 7520 sq ft restaurant is set across two floors featuring a bar, 148 dining covers, and a private dining room that seats 20. Our design draws inspiration from the architecture of Venice and the work of some of its most esteemed residents, capturing the iconic timelessness synonymous with the region. The new restaurant specifically references a venetian sunset, capturing the magic of dusk along the waterways within the material palette and detailing reminiscent of Venice’s water taxis. • We are thrilled to share our work on Caramella - our latest project designed in conjunction with Tao Group Hospitality and Caesars Entertainment. Located within Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, the new destination restaurant and hidden lounge embodies an Italian 1970s vibe. The 9,500 square foot space consists of a bar, restaurant, and lounge all centered around a classic pasticceria (Italian sweetshop). We developed unique individual spaces inspired by the music genre of the late ‘70s Italo Disco, that capture the escapist, playful spirit of the Italian ‘70s. Photography: Adrian Gaut

We are proud to unveil the interiors for Le Jardin de Verre by Locke Hotels.   For this special project, our scope of work encompassed the front of house public areas including the reception, entrance terrace, cocktail bar, atrium restaurant and co-working area, as well as two feature suites. Our brief was to create a new home for Locke, with a design-led aparthotel in the city for locals and travellers alike. Our approach drew on the rich and extensive history of the Latin Quarter of Paris, the architectural history of the existing building as well as the Locke brand to create a truly unique series of spaces.  Photography: Francisco Nogueira

  • We are excited to be working with Locke Hotels on a new property in Paris in the city’s historic Latin Quarter opening next year.   For Le Jardin de Verre by Locke’s Presidential Suite we employed a pink colour palette with an oversized chandelier and freestanding bath tub creating an impactful and playful design. We are looking forward to sharing more on this special project soon!
