In 2020, AstraZeneca entered a global collab with Daiichi Sankyo US to build out a revolutionary line of antibody drug conjugates. As well as successfully bringing Enhertu to market, the companies have made major progress with another ADC called Datroway. Both therapies represent a new era of breast cancer treatment. Cell and gene therapies (CGTs) are at the forefront of our #LifeSciencesAffectsUsAll newsletter this month. 🧬 As we approach the end of 2025, we’ve highlighted three FDA-approved CGTs from this year that will soon be casting transformative effects upon patients.  In April, Zevaskyn was approved for the treatment of a rare and debilitating dermatological disorder that causes extremely fragile skin. Developed by Abeona Therapeutics, the cell-based gene therapy involves taking a patient’s own skin cells and surgically applying them to treat wounds and sores. Encelto is another CGT approved in the first half of the year.
