Bancroft recently teamed up with Dee Nicholas from the Drexel University School of Design Research and Urbn STEAMlab to bring a creative blend of science, design and well-being to residents in our Flicker Program. Together, we explored how thoughtful design can support community, independence and healthy living. Residents got hands-on with 3D-printed materials to grow their own greens and proudly earned certificates as master gardeners! This collaboration is one of the many ways Bancroft is partnering with experts to imagine new possibilities and enrich the lives of those we support.

  • Bancroft President & CEO, Toni Pergolin, CPA, MHA, talks 'In Her Own Words' about why building the Welsh Campus was so important to the students we support, and was such a pivotal moment in her tenure. The 80-acre Welsh Campus, including the flagship Bancroft School, opened in 2018 as a state-of-the-art destination of hope for the students Bancroft supports, as well as those who live in campus housing and the renowned Lindens Program. This campus was designed to be a place of possibilities for the autism and special needs community. For Toni, and children in our care and their families, the Welsh Campus was a vision realized and the front door to Bancroft's continuum of care. We'll continue to share short video conversations with Toni as she reflects on the moments, people, and purpose that have shaped her over the past 20 years at the helm of Bancroft. Missed a video? After more than two decades leading Bancroft through extraordinary growth and transformation, President & CEO Toni Pergolin, CPA, MHA is preparing for retirement. Over the next several weeks, we’ll share short video conversations with Toni, In Her Own Words, as she reflects on the moments, people, and purpose that have shaped her over the past 20 years at the helm of Bancroft. First up: “How It All Began."

  • Thanks to a generous donation from The Wawa, Inc. Foundation, we're helping adults in our care live healthier and feel better. Lunchtime Energize is a wellness program we piloted at our Gloucester Adult Day & Employment center, in partnership with Rowan University. Through plant-forward cooking classes, smart fitness tech, and fun, engaging physical activities, participants are learning to make wellness part of everyday life. We’ve learned a lot since we first launched (who knew smart watches would be such a hot ticket item? 😀), and we’re excited to take what we’ve learned and grow this program to help even more people thrive.
