Breaking news: Halda Therapeutics has just announced it will be acquired by Johnson & Johnson for $3.05 billion.   This milestone is a major win for Connecticut’s life sciences ecosystem, reinforcing our state’s growing strength in biopharma innovation and the world-class teams driving it forward. We’ve spent the past 24 hours with our world-class academic institutions across Greater New Haven — and seeing firsthand how they’re preparing the next generation to power Connecticut’s innovation economy. University of New Haven: Yesterday, the university welcomed more than 300 attendees to an Open House unveiling the vision for its pioneering Center for Innovation and Applied Technology, a 133,000 square foot facility designed to redefine how industry and academia collaborate. Southern Connecticut State University: This morning's Emerging Technology Forum showcased how SCSU is equipping students to step confidently into Connecticut’s growing innovation ecosystem — especially in fast-advancing fields like quantum and artificial intelligence.
