Lead technology innovation that shapes the future

About us

The M.S. in Technology Management at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies is a hands-on technology leadership development program designed to train professionals for equal fluency in tech fundamentals, business operations, and ethical leadership. Our cohort-model connects students with the thriving global tech community and allows students to experience the different sectors and facets of New York City as an innovation hub. Our program offers two distinct pathways to the Masters of Science in Technology Management degree: In-Person and Online. The In-Person pathway is designed primarily for early- to mid-career professionals, with the option to attend full-time or part-time, with courses taught on-site on Columbia University’s Morningside campus. The In-Person pathway consists of one of the most diverse communities at the School of Professional Studies, with students representing countries from across the globe, with professional experience from every sector, and academic backgrounds including computer science, social sciences, and the liberal arts. The In-Person pathway physically situates students within the learning community at Columbia University in the City of New York as well as a wide range of site visits, networking events, and internship opportunities across New York City’s unparalleled tech sector. Learn more. The Online pathway is designed for mid to senior-career professionals who continue to work full-time while earning their degree. Each student selects a leading-edge focus area that matches their interests and goals, such as Digital and Business Transformation, New Business Ventures, or C-Level Management. Instructors are world-class technology leaders unparalleled in the Ivy League. Students can study online from anywhere in the world, along with regular in-person multi-day residencies in New York City. Graduates typically assume positions as CIO, CTO, CAO, COO, CEO, CSO, CDO, or as ground-breaking entrepreneurs.
