  • Last chance to take the State of M&A Survey. This isn’t just another questionnaire — it’s how we capture what’s really happening in M&A. We’re collecting insights from corporate development, M&A, and deal execution professionals to understand how deals got done in 2025 and where things are heading in 2026. Your input helps shape the benchmark for modern M&A. The survey closes November 30, make sure your voice is part of it. 🔗 Link in the comments

  • M&A has been around for decades—and so have the pain points. Spreadsheets flying around. Internal chaos. Last-minute requests that derail the team. Anyone who’s lived through a deal knows the reality: it’s painful, distracting, and far from efficient. That’s exactly why DealRoom exists. Our team has felt these frustrations firsthand, and we’re building the tools that finally eliminate the chaos—so corporate development teams can focus on strategy, not spreadsheet management. It’s time to remove the friction and step up how deals get done.

  • In a PE-backed environment, deal strategy isn’t just about what you buy—it’s about when. Too many acquirers chase long-term strategic assets without accounting for the 18–24 month KPI window their shareholders live in. The result: deals that make sense on paper but fall apart under exit timing pressure. This week’s Buyer-Led M&A™ Newsletter Kison Patel breaks down how high-performing teams navigate that tension, align both clocks, and design a pipeline that works for the business and the ownership model. If you’re leading Corp Dev in a PE-backed company, this edition is a must-read. Check it out here.

  • Meet our VP of Marketing, Hannah Jarrett — the kind of leader who brings equal parts heart, grit, and vision to everything she touches. A Massachusetts native through and through, Hannah keeps her creativity fueled by traveling, playing tennis, spending time by the ocean, and surrounding herself with the people who matter most. Beyond her work at DealRoom, Hannah is a passionate advocate for postpartum care. She actively supports Postpartum Support International and the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health, and is always a resource for friends and women navigating postpartum challenges. It’s a mission close to her heart — and one that inspires all of us. She’s also someone who shows up for her people. This year, she officiated her best friend’s wedding — an honor she counts as one of her proudest moments. And above all, she’s proud to be a mom to two wonderful girls. We’re grateful to have Hannah leading the way on our marketing team and shaping the future of DealRoom.

  • Please join us in welcoming Henry Spitzer to the DealRoom team as our new VP of of Global Revenue! He’s passionate about exploring how AI can be woven into pipeline generation and the sales process — accelerating efficiency while keeping the human touch that defines great sales. Outside of work, Henry’s a hands-on problem solver who loves tinkering with cars, engines, and home projects. He also coaches his six-year-old’s hockey team and loves spending time with his wife, Marley, and their two daughters. Welcome to DealRoom, Henry — we’re thrilled to have you leading the charge!

Expanding across borders isn’t just a strategy decision — it’s a test of how well your deal process actually works. When you move into new markets, everything gets more complex: regulatory frameworks, cultural norms, data-sharing restrictions, local operations, even the way negotiations unfold. But teams that thrive in cross-border M&A all have one thing in common: they prepare early and operate with intention. 1. Local expertise is non-negotiable. Legal, tax, HR, finance, and technology all look different market to market. The teams that win are the ones who build the right local bench before a deal is underway. 2. Culture drives more outcomes than deal terms. Misaligned expectations, communication styles, and decision-making norms can derail integration long before synergies have a chance to show up. 3. Diligence and integration must run in lockstep. Global deals move fast. If you’re learning about local requirements mid-process, you’re already behind. The most effective buyers build integration assumptions into the deal from day one. 4. Complexity pays off when the process is strong. Cross-border deals require more preparation, tighter alignment, and a more deliberate approach — but the upside can be transformative when done well. Modern M&A isn’t about reacting to someone else’s process. It’s about building a system capable of navigating uncertainty at global scale. That’s the Buyer-Led M&A™ mindset. We really enjoyed hear from Michael Frankel and Tarek Sultani, JD, CFA at our last Buyer-Led M&A™ Masterclass. Check out the full webinar, link in the comments.
