With the increase in international conflicts, issue-motivated groups, erosion of social cohesion and the ‘echo chamber’ created by social media, agencies need to prepare for more Class 3 emergencies (such as warlike act or terrorist act, hijack, siege or riot). This year, EMC delegates heard about Class 3 emergencies and the wide range of forms they can take. We need to be training for the things we haven’t seen. Join us at EMC in 2026 in Melbourne 14-15 July for more important topics for emergency management personnel and volunteers. Join the mailing list https://lnkd.in/gFWx4UR
