  • You’ve seen our new office space, but what about the stuff that makes it unique? We’ve been at 1308 N. Elston for just two months and are settling in perfectly. As developers focused on creating spaces that matter, we know it's the small, thoughtful touches that embody our values and bring our personalities into a space. And the “stuff” that makes a space feel like home only matters when the people in that space do too. If you're in the neighborhood over this upcoming holiday season (or anytime for that matter!), please swing by 1308 N. Elston to see us in person. Happy Thanksgiving from our entire team at Farpoint!

  • Is the future of Class A office space outside the Loop? Our property at 6300 River Road in Rosemont makes a solid case. This project represents a full reimagining of a suburban office building, delivering a modern, high-design environment often associated with downtown districts. It’s a Class A property providing tenants with essential, high-end amenities, including a fitness center, golf simulator, bar, and café. The best part? Rosemont itself has transformed from a transit hub into a self-sustaining destination. The location provides unparalleled convenience, offering direct access to dining, live entertainment, and shopping on top of the office space opportunities. With recent capital investment reinforcing this idea of a self-sustaining destination, our strategic focus turns to furthering Rosemont and other suburban neighborhoods as desirable locations outside of, but still near, Chicago.

  • The sweetest new addition to the Magnificent Mile has arrived! Hotel Chocolat's United States flagship is officially open at 830 N. Michigan Avenue! This opening represents more than just a new store—it's a powerful sign of the new wave of experiential retail taking shape on Chicago's world-renowned boulevard. At Farpoint, we're dedicated to projects that strengthen neighborhoods. Welcoming a values-driven, global brand like Hotel Chocolat reinforces the Magnificent Mile as a world-class destination for residents and visitors alike, and we're proud to be part of this journey. Congratulations to the entire Hotel Chocolat team and all our partners who made this possible just in time for the holiday season!

  • Experience is the future of commercial real estate; it's thinking beyond the space. In Chicago, this shift is redefining the retail landscape, and at Farpoint, we're proud to be at the forefront of what's next with 830 N Michigan Avenue and 2367 W Logan. We're in good company. Large-scale experiential and entertainment projects represent far more than new developments. They're indicators of market confidence and strategic investments. Our properties have led the charge with these experience-driven spaces: 🍫 830 N. Michigan Avenue is about to announce the official opening of Hotel Chocolat's U.S. flagship, representing a major commitment from Mars. ⚽ 2367 W. Logan hosted the exclusive Chicago home for The Messi Experience this summer, one of only a few U.S. stops. These are examples of strategic placemaking with a clear purpose: to drive not only economic impact, but also community activation. We believe that investing in world-class experiences is a direct investment in Chicago's future.

  • Medical office buildings are back on the rise in Chicago, with some of the fastest-growing rates in the country. Demand remains strong, driven by an aging population and a need for more outpatient care. Developers are turning to adaptive reuse to meet market demand. While these conversions can be difficult (many buildings don't meet medical requirements), they allow tenants to move in faster than with new construction. The opening of Northwestern’s new outpatient center in Bronzeville marks a signal of the neighborhood’s growth. We're energized by the commitment and momentum shaping Chicago, as Farpoint advances our Bronzeville Lakefront development, a future global hub for innovation and wellness. • Welcome to 134 Long Road, BMarko Structures! 🏗️ A leader in modular construction and prefabricated data center manufacturing, BMarko Structures' relocation to South Carolina will create 225 full-time jobs. Since 2014, BMarko has built over 500,000 square feet of modular structures across the country, including the notable Bal Harbour Shops pop-up. "BMarko Structures' commitment to 134 Long Road confirms the continued demand for manufacturing space along the I-85 corridor," said Justin Patwin, Principal at Farpoint Development. "We're pleased to support BMarko's expansion and contribute to Williamston's economic growth." A special thank you to our partners at Pearlmark, James R. Vannoy & Sons Construction Company, Inc., and CBRE's Campbell Lewis, SIOR, and Marcus M. Cornelius IV, SIOR, for your hard work and dedication. This is a win for the Southeast and a clear sign that the I-85 corridor plays a crucial role in the future of advanced manufacturing and logistics in the United States.

  • Welcome to 830 N. Michigan, Hotel Chocolat! 🍫 British chocolatier Hotel Chocolat's flagship United States location is the newest addition to the Magnificent Mile! Set to open very soon, just in time for the 2025 holiday season, this sweet destination will feature a "Wall of Chocolate," 18 types of drinking chocolate, and even liquid chocolate on tap. At the heart of Hotel Chocolat will be "The Tree of Life," a stunning mural by artists Adrian Avila and Reinier Gamboa. As our founding principal Regina Stilp told Crain's Chicago Business: "I think Michigan Avenue is a flagship location, so that is what people are going for, that unique experience. I think there's incredible energy... People are coming to this street no matter what." A special thank you to our team who brought this to life: our dedicated partners at Saxony Capital led by Joshua Mintzer, the incredible Hotel Chocolat team led by Angus Thirlwell, Kelly Goering, and Maxwell Verhey, and the The Magnificent Mile® Association led by Kimberly Bares. We couldn't have done it without the hard work of NWS Architects. Inc | Chadha + Associates , TGRWA, and Norcon. Kudos to our leasing team at CANVAS Real Estate, Anthony Campagni, and Elan Rasansky, for their hard work and collaboration. This is a major win for Chicago and the continuation of something special at 830 N. Michigan Avenue.

  • Farpoint sponsored the Navy Pier Gala last month. Scott Goodman, who serves on Navy Pier's Board of Directors, attended with his wife, Lisa. This year's "Chicago Experience" contributed to raising $1.65 million for Navy Pier, with $55,000 raised the night of the event alone. We were proud to be among the 71 sponsors supporting this landmark celebration, which drew 700 attendees from across Chicagoland. The annual gala celebrates its ongoing impact and honored former Mayor Richard M. Daley, who championed the pier's transformation. As proud supporters of this Chicago landmark, we look forward to continuing our partnership and hope to see many of you at next year's celebration!

  • "How can architecture encourage resilience?" That's the question posed by the exhibition Living With / Vivre Avec, coming to Chicago on November 8. Developers must be able to find value in what was once considered useless or obsolete, giving life to outdated buildings and infrastructure. Take several of our properties: 1308 N Elston: This former light-fixture factory has been transformed into a top-tier working environment. 8522 Lafayette: A formerly neglected manufacturing plant now reimagined as a charter school serving multiple Chicago school districts. Prairie Shores: Originally built to meet workforce housing needs in the 1950s and 1960s, it's now been renovated and expanded with a new community hub designed for the needs of our tenants. The exhibition examines how architecture can help sustain life in a world of instability—something we understand and strive to make meaningful change with.
