The 26th Ground Handling International is currently taking place in #Amsterdam, an event that brings together experts and decision-makers from the ground handling and airline service industry from more than 60 countries, including representatives from over 110 airlines. Our Director Sales & Marketing, Smirr Anne, was there to establish and maintain personal contacts and engage in discussions with our airline customers. It was a great opportunity to present the expansion of the Pharma Center and the opening of a new WFS warehouse in Frankfurt. Gerade findet die 26. Ground Handling International in #Amsterdam statt, eine Veranstaltung, die Experten und Entscheider der Bodenabfertigungs- und Airline-Service Branche aus mehr als 60 Ländern zusammenbringt, darunter Vertreter von über 110 Airlines. Für uns war unsere Director Sales & Marketing Smirr Anne vor Ort, um persönliche Kontakte zu knüpfen, zu pflegen und in den Austausch mit unseren Airline-Kunden zu gehen. Eine großartige Gelegenheit, den Ausbau des Pharma-Centers in Frankfurt und die Eröffnung einer weiteren WFS-Halle vorzustellen.

🚧 We are quadrupling our pharma capacities! 🚧 There's a lot going on in our warehouse: the construction work you can see here is an important step towards our new, expanded pharmaceutical & cool warehouse. It is scheduled to go into operation in April 2026 and will enable the storage of time- and temperature-critical shipments on a completely different scale. The new temperature-controlled warehouses will cover a total area of 3.284 m². This is a fourfold increase in our previous capacity. Now, we have achieved an important milestone: Over the next four weeks, we will be erecting a steel structure made from around 100 tons of steel. This is a time-critical step on which all further work will be based. A big thank you to our construction partner INT-BAU GmbH! 🚧 Wir vervierfachen unsere Pharma-Kapazitäten! 🚧 In unserer Halle tut sich was: Die Bauarbeiten, die hier zu sehen sind, sind ein wichtiger Schritt auf dem Weg zu unserem neuen, erweiterten Pharma- und Kühl-Lager. Das soll im April 2026 in Betrieb gehen und wird die Lagerung von zeit- und temperaturkritischen Sendungen in einem ganz anderen Maßstab ermöglichen. Das neue temperaturgeführte Lager wird eine Gesamtfläche von 3.284 m² umfassen. Das ist eine Vervierfachung unserer bisherigen Kapazitäten. Wir haben jetzt einen wichtigen Meilenstein geschafft: Innerhalb der nächsten vier Wochen werden für eine Stahltragkonstruktion rund 100 Tonnen Stahl verbaut. Ein zeitkritischer Schritt, auf dem alle weiteren Arbeiten aufbauen. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an unseren Baupartner INT-BAU GmbH!

That’s confirmed by its successful recertification under ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.   Fatih Cat, Manager of Processes & Handling Quality at FCS (left), and Kilian Wünsch, Occupational Health and Safety Officer and Occupational Safety Specialist at FCS, accompanied the audit conducted by experts from DEKRA on our premises.   Both emphasize that continuous quality improvement and the establishment of health and occupational safety measures are ongoing processes. In this respect, the confirmation of the certificates, which assess progress in both areas, is not only an important sign that our measures are effective, but also a challenge. One that we are happy to take on!   FCS erfüllt hohe internationale Anforderungen an #Qualitätsmanagement sowie #Arbeitsschutz. Das bestätigt die erfolgreiche Rezertifizierung nach ISO 9001 und ISO 45001.   Fatih Cat, Manager Processes & Handling Quality bei FCS (links), sowie Kilian Wünsch, Referent Arbeits- und Umweltschutz und Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit bei FCS, haben die Auditierung durch Experten der DEKRA auf unserer Seite begleitet.   Beide betonen: Sowohl die kontinuierliche Qualitätssteigerung als auch das Etablieren von Gesundheits- und Arbeitsschutzmaßnahmen sind fortlaufende Prozesse. Insofern ist die Bestätigung der Zertifikate, bei der die Fortschritte in beiden Bereichen begutachtet werden, ein wichtiges Zeichen, dass unsere Maßnahmen greifen, zugleich aber auch eine Herausforderung. Growth : We’re excited to announce that we are expanding our E-commerce & Freight Forwarder Handling (EFFH) services at Frankfurt Airport! From January 2026, WFS will operate two new warehouses in Cargo City South, adding capacity for up to 100,000 tonnes of freight annually. In terms of data transparency and utilization, our new business intelligence system takes us to a whole new level. Our data analyst Tim Mischeck has now been honored by SATS Ltd. with the PCEO Award in the Operational Excellence category for setting it up.   The award recognizes outstanding individuals and teams who have distinguished themselves through excellent expertise, a high level of competence, and the embodiment of SATS core values at work, thereby making a positive contribution to the company.   In December, Tim will travel to Singapore to receive his award in person.   Congratulations, Tim! 19 interviews – 16 invitations: Our speed recruiting event was a great success! Our recruiting team led by Justyna Sprynca (left in the picture) recently organized a two-day job speed dating event together with Gebhard Christof Helbock and Andreas Höffgen (right in the picture). Candidates had the opportunity to apply directly for exciting positions in the Landside Office administration and as cargo handlers in the Warehouse/Airside at FCS. The result: a total of 19 interviews yielded 16 potential new colleagues. Eight for the position of Landside Office Clerk, two for the position of Import & Export Documentation Specialist, two for Airside, and four for the Warehouse. Filming at FCS? We make that possible too. And we represent the freight sector in the new, lavishly produced image film by Fraport AG. The camera crew visited us in the hall back in spring and gained an insight into our daily work. The film is now complete and has turned out really well. Many thanks to everyone who contributed! Especially to our employees in the hall, who didn't let the cameras distract them. Filmaufnahmen bei FCS? Auch das machen wir möglich. Und repräsentieren den Bereich Fracht im neuen, aufwendig produzierten Imagefilm der Fraport AG. Bereits im Frühjahr waren die Kameraleute dafür bei uns in der Halle und bekamen einen Einblick in unsere tägliche Arbeit. Inzwischen ist der Film fertig und wirklich toll geworden. Our recruiting team around Eileen Gerwat recently had their hands full at the job speed dating event. The event attracted twice as many applicants to FCS for the Airside, Warehouse and Landside Office Clerk and Indoor & Outdoor Maintenance positions as had actually registered. But the effort was worth it: a good third of the candidates came away from the interviews with a job offer. And we are always happy to receive qualified applications even outside of such events.   Alle Hände voll zu tun hatte kürzlich unser Recruiting-Team um Eileen Gerwat beim Job-Speed-Dating. Denn die Aktion hat doppelt so viele Bewerber für die Airside, das Warehouse und für die Positionen Sachbearbeiter Landside Office sowie Instandhalter Innen & Außenfläche zur FCS gelockt, wie sich eigentlich angemeldet hatten. Aber der Aufwand hat sich gelohnt: Gut ein Drittel der Kandidaten ist mit Zusagen aus den Interviews gegangen. Und auch abseits solcher Events freuen wir uns immer über qualifizierte Bewerbungen.
