Gevo transforms renewable energy into energy-dense liquids. The next generation of low-carbon fuels and chemicals.

About us

Gevo, Inc. (NASDAQ: GEVO) has a mission to transform renewable energy into low carbon transportation fuels. This next generation of renewable premium gasoline, jet fuel and diesel fuel with the potential to achieve zero carbon emissions, addressing the market need of reducing greenhouse gas emissions with sustainable alternatives. Gevo uses low-carbon renewable resource-based carbohydrates as raw materials and is in an advanced state of developing renewable electricity and renewable natural gas for use in production processes, resulting in low-carbon fuels with substantially reduced carbon intensity (the level of greenhouse gas emissions compared to standard petroleum fossil-based fuels across their lifecycle). Gevo’s products perform as well or better than traditional fossil-based fuels in infrastructure and engines, but with substantially reduced greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to addressing the problems of fuels, Gevo’s technology also enables certain plastics, such as polyester, to be made with more sustainable ingredients. Gevo’s ability to penetrate the growing low-carbon fuels market depends on the price of oil and the value of abating carbon emissions that would otherwise increase greenhouse gas emissions. Gevo believes that its proven, patented, technology enabling the use of a variety of low-carbon sustainable feedstocks to produce price-competitive low carbon products such as gasoline components, jet fuel, and diesel fuel yields the potential to generate project and corporate returns that justify the build-out of a multi-billion-dollar business.

Proud to share that @Gevo delivered another quarter of positive Adjusted EBITDA in 20253Q, continued advancing our alcohol-to-jet SAF strategy, and made clear progress toward positive operating cash flow. A major milestone announced with our earnings release: the completion of $52 million in 2025 Section 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit sales from our Gevo North Dakota facility — validating the value of low-carbon ethanol with carbon sequestration and supporting reinvestment in efficiency, throughput, rural jobs, and U.S. agriculture. Grateful to the entire Gevo team and our partners for making this progress possible.

  • We are pleased to announce today that we have completed the sale transaction of Agri-Energy, LLC , a wholly owned subsidiary of Gevo, to A.E. Innovation, LLC. The transaction includes Agri’s 18-million-gallon-per-year ethanol-production facility and a portion of the adjacent land, located in Luverne, Minnesota. Under the terms of the sale, Gevo retained ownership of the majority of the isobutanol production assets onsite and approximately 30 acres of land, allowing the us to continue to utilize our technologies to produce low-carbon isobutanol for use in chemicals markets and as feedstock for racing fuels, gasoline, and jet fuel. • We are excited to report today that we've made our first delivery of certified carbon credits to Biorecro. This delivery solidifies a new stream of repeatable revenue now including carbon removal credits (CORCs) in addition to ethanol, protein, vegetable oil, and tax credit sales. This delivery is the first fulfillment against the multi-year agreement announced in September, which is expected to generate approximately $26 million in revenues for Gevo over five years with the option to expand the volumes in the future. • Monday night we gathered with the local community to share exciting updates about planned expansions for our facility in Richardton, North Dakota. In addition to sharing our vision for the expansion of ethanol and CCS operations at Gevo North Dakota (GND), we also previewed the planned addition of a 30-million-gallon Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) jet fuel production facility that would be constructed on site. This growth made possible by our co-located carbon sequestration (CCS) well, which is currently in operation and has the capacity to permanently store carbon dioxide from our expanded production.   Investing in and working alongside rural communities like Richardton are key to our mission of driving economic opportunity as we expand our SAF, bioethanol, and CCS footprint. The meeting brought together community members and local leaders who are thoughtfully engaged in our work. We are proud to be a part of North Dakota’s evolving energy infrastructure and look forward to supporting rural communities and local farmers looking for new markets for their products. Engineering work has already begun at GND and we look forward to sharing additional updates on our progress.   Read more about the meeting from Forum Communications Reporter Evan Butow:  https://lnkd.in/g8ct2bca
