At #HCDcon in Kansas City last month, attendees took a deep dive into FF&E performance during the workshop “An Experiential Approach to Materials Selection.” Led by Stephanie Sickler, associate professor in the Department of Interior Architecture and Design, and Helen Turner, director and associate professor at the University of Kentucky, the session offered an interactive, hands-on look at how materials respond to real-world healthcare scenarios. Participants tested samples, compared performance criteria, and explored how maintenance standards, user needs, and setting-specific demands influence product selection. Designed for both emerging designers and seasoned professionals, the workshop equipped attendees with practical, immediately applicable strategies to strengthen their design process and make more informed FF&E decisions.

The Missed Multiplier Effect of Live Events... 96% of B2B marketers say in-person events are their most effective channel for driving direct sales, yet most still treat them as one-off moments. The new Easy to Find report from LinkedIn's The B2B Institute and the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute calls this the “missed multiplier effect.” When a single event becomes 52 weeks of content - keynotes, demos, and conversations repurposed and amplified - it stops being a cost center and becomes a growth engine. Done well, that sustained visibility even creates FOMO – fueling anticipation, and registrations for future events. At Emerald, we see this every day. Live experiences fuel awareness, trust, and a year-round content flywheel that drives measurable impact long after the show floor closes. It’s time to stop measuring events by the moment, and start measuring them by their multiplier. https://lnkd.in/exXpeBBR #B2BMarketing #Emerald #LiveEvents #EventROI #InPersonConnection #EmeraldExperience
