  • We are proud that many of the goods and services we need to keep our company running smoothly come from small local businesses. In 2024, Idaho Power purchased over $153 million in goods and services from Idaho and Oregon companies that self-certify as small businesses. Over the past few weeks, our Energy Advisors had the privilege of visiting some of their favorite small businesses, learning firsthand how they power our communities with innovation and dedication. Tomorrow, on #SmallBusinessSaturday, we hope you'll join us in supporting all of the small businesses that make our service area great.

A few of our Corporate Communications team members had the privilege of attending the recent Western Utilities Communications Workshop in Boise, Idaho. This annual event brought together communications professionals from utilities across the western United States to exchange ideas and best practices about critical topics like wildfire preparedness and Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS). Our team participated in valuable conversations focused on rapid, transparent, timely and innovative communication opportunities to better support our customers and communities during major weather-related events. We also enjoyed collaborating and sharing knowledge with our peers and strengthening relationships that help us serve our communities better. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Western Utilities Communications Conference organizers and to Idaho Power for their warm hospitality and outstanding leadership in hosting this year’s event. In addition to the enriching workshop sessions, we were grateful for the opportunity to tour Idaho Power's impressive Skills Training Center and witness a live demonstration of their innovative drone program. Seeing the commitment of all participating utilities to safety for customers, communities and employees was impressive. These experiences highlight the value of teamwork and ongoing learning in our industry. Here's what real corporate partnership looks like: Yesterday, volunteers from Idaho Power  helped a local woman move into stable housing after experiencing homelessness. They showed up with trucks and willing hands—and in just 10-15 minutes, helped her start a new chapter. This is neighbors helping neighbors, plain and simple. Idaho Power didn't just send resources; they sent their people, their time, and their care. As our Executive Director Stephanie Day often says: "Homelessness is a community issue that requires community solutions." Every business, every individual, every neighbor has a role to play. • We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have served our nation with bravery and dedication—including many within our own Idaho Power family. Your courage is deeply appreciated, today and always. Happy Veterans Day.

Even during challenging times, the Boise Airport air traffic control team continues to show up and keep our skies safe—despite going without pay during the shutdown. At Idaho Power, we know what it means to show up and be depended on. That’s why we partnered with Life’s Kitchen to deliver prepared meals and sweet treats to these dedicated professionals and their families as a small way to say thank you for their commitment and service. We’re proud to stand with our community and support those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep us moving and connected. Life's Kitchen
