Wishing everyone a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving 🍂 A Prayer of Thanksgiving by Fr. Adrian Porter, S.J. We thank you, God our Father, for the shelter and comfort of our homes; for the love and companionship of our family and friends; for our health, and our many gifts and abilities; and for all the blessings which we take for granted. Hear our prayer for all who are less fortunate than we are and bless those who work to help them. For Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.

Accompaniment is at the heart of our way of proceeding in Jesuit Secondary and Pre-Secondary Education and has never been more important than it is today in navigating the complexity of the world in which our students and faculty live. Walking alongside students in their journeys through our communities is rooted in a deep respect for listening to their voices along the way. Join us on Tuesday, November 25 at 3 p.m. ET for a Virtual Inquiry Session with Fr. Cristóbal Madero Cabib, S.J. that delves into the conversation of what it means to have a calling to teach and will explore what truly excellent teaching looks like in our schools. Join the live session next week at https://lnkd.in/gJ7XcbAn

“We as Catholic bishops love our country and pray for its peace and prosperity. For this very reason, we feel compelled now in this environment to raise our voices in defense of God-given human dignity.” On November 12, 2025 and for the first time in 12 years the U.S. bishops issued a Special Message addressing their concern for the evolving situation impacting immigrants in the United States. Collectively the bishops have invoked this particularly urgent way of speaking as a body of bishops. Read the full statement and get additional resources here: https://ow.ly/S4Ko50XqTPi

The Society of Jesus in the United States applauds and thanks our bishops for their Special Pastoral Message issued at their Fall Plenary Assembly in Baltimore. We echo their concerns, we join them in prayer, and we stand with them in the defense of the dignity of our migrant brothers and sisters in Christ. Alongside the bishops and in solidarity with our migrant brothers and sisters, the Jesuit Conference will continue to advocate for the reform of our immigration system. As the bishops wrote, “Human dignity and national security are not in conflict. Both are possible if people of good will work together.” Read the full statement: https://lnkd.in/g4SDYpWB
