Here's an AI content trick that most people miss (it takes just 20 mins to set up!): I learned early on: the best marketing content uses the EXACT words your audience uses. Not "supercharge your productivity." (who talks like that?!) But "get your work done faster." So here’s one of my favorite content tricks: → Find the exact language your target audiences already use online & steal it for your copy. I know it sounds time-consuming — but with Claude, it takes about 20 minutes. Here's the workflow: 1. Look up competitors solving the same problem as you 2. Copy/paste ALL their reviews (from G2, Gartner, App Store, etc.) into Claude 3. Repeat with YOUR reviews, sales call transcripts, form responses, etc. 4. Ask Claude: 'Pull out the exact phrases people use to describe their pain points, what they're struggling with, and what they want' You'll get a huge list of direct quotes showing how your audience actually talks (and what they care about!). [Ex. here’s how marketing consultants in The Growth Tribe describe their scaling issues: - "I'm at capacity" - "I’m wearing all the hats" - "I'm doing everything myself" - "I need to figure out how to grow" - "I have too much work and need to scale" Notice how different that is from marketing speak like "scale your business and earn more revenue"?] Now, here’s how you can use this language in YOUR copy: 1. Create a custom Claude project for your company 2. Attach the doc of customer language to it 3. Add this instruction to the project: "Use [doc name] when writing customer-facing copy. It contains real customer language about pain points. Use these exact phrases for content." And voilà! Now, every time you write copy in that project, Claude pulls from your customers' actual words. (If you don't have time to implement this now, feel free to save this post for later!) I have SO many more tips for customizing these company projects to create excellent copy. But this alone will totally change how your messaging lands. Your customers will read it & think: "wow, this company actually gets me." Any questions?

I've battled imposter syndrome for 2 years building a membership community. Even at 350 people, I still doubt myself. Rewind to 2023: I learned about Slack communities in March, and opened my own in May. I had zero community experience. I was just lonely as a marketing consultant — and saw that others were, too. I created The Growth Tribe so we'd never need to feel alone as marketing consultants again. 2 years later, we're at 350 paying members. Even when it's working, I STILL have moments where I question everything: - I post something and get crickets - I spend hours on ideas that flop - People I genuinely love pause their membership Those moments hit different when you're the one building it. They make it hard to see the community's impact the way other people do. This message from Rose Choi Marques showed me what I'm too close to notice: “What you’ve created with The Growth Tribe is seriously special and SO valuable. I constantly bring it up. I’ve been able to collaborate with some tremendously talented folks from the community. I’m genuinely impressed with the improvements you’ve made, and the ongoing value you bring to each member of the community.” 🥹 I know it took her 2 minutes to send, but its impact on me lasted so much longer. I know the imposter syndrome isn't going anywhere. But apparently, neither is the impact 💛

When I was at my lowest, hated my job, and didn’t know what to do next, this question helped me get out of it: My psychologist sister asked me: “Who do you look up to? Who has a career you actually want?” “Amanda Goetz, Ella Mills, and Tracey Specter,” I replied instinctively. “Why them?” “They’re badass women running their own businesses. They’re incredible at what they do — and still prioritize their families. They have multiple business lines and are always experimenting.” "What do you need to do to be more like them?" she asked. That conversation planted the seed for everything that came next: I started marketing consulting. Built The Growth Tribe. Started experimenting constantly. Fast forward 4 years: I'm working from my favorite coffee shop when Amanda Goetz walks in. I obviously had to say something! What happened next still feels surreal: She agreed to give a talk to The Growth Tribe, the business that her entrepreneurship inspired me to start. She's speaking about how to build a portfolio career & life that brings you real satisfaction: - Building the day-to-day you actually want - Creating multiple revenue streams - Juggling it all alongside your personal life Full circle. I’m so excited for her to come and speak — and would love for you to join us! If you're feeling stuck like I was — not sure what career you actually want or how to build it — come hear from Amanda. She's speaking about exactly what got me unstuck. RSVP at the link in the comments. 💛 PS - she ALSO released her book Toxic Grit this week, which is about how to stop forcing yourself to "do it all" (which never makes us happy) — and start living an ambitious life that actually feels good. (Def the first time I've started a book the day it hit the shelves.) Linked it in the comments!

I used to think people who focused on self-gain at work would be the most successful. But I was wrong. (And I'm so glad I was!) Taking a step back, Adam Grant taught me that there are 3 types of people: Givers, Takers, and Matchers.  - Takers focus on what they can GAIN from other people - Matchers balance giving & receiving equally - Givers help others without expecting anything back Since they're so focused on self-gain, you'd think the Takers would get ahead most often, right? Wrong! It's actually the Givers who see the most long-term success. I absolutely love this lesson: it reminds me that we don't need to be selfish in order to get ahead. We need to be genuinely helpful. BUT here's the catch: To get to the top, Givers have to give strategically — not give more. Because if we're spending most of our day helping others, we'll fall behind on our own work. Here are the best ways to give to others & stay ahead: → Do 5-minute favors - quick intros, feedback, sharing resources → Stay in your lane - help where you excel to avoid burnout → Ask for help too - it strengthens relationships both ways → Set boundaries with Takers - they’ll absolutely drain you When I think about my own work circle — my closest relationships have formed because we GIVE to each other efficiently, not endlessly. Personally, I love to help people by: - Leaving quick voice notes w/ work advice (which Molly Godfrey, Sweta Govani 🧩, Sam Stern, and Yuval Yarden can attest to) - Answering people's Slack questions in The Growth Tribe when they're up against a marketing consulting challenge - Making quick intros btwn people in my network when I know both will benefit What about you — how do you give back to others without burning yourself out?
