About us

Liliʻuokalani Trust (LT) is a private operating foundation founded in 1909 by Hawaiʻi’s last reigning monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani, for the benefit of the most vulnerable Native Hawaiian children. LT focuses its impact on three areas: Early Childhood (ages 0-5), Youth Development (ages 6-18), and Opportunity Youth (ages 16-26). We maintain a presence throughout Hawaiʻi with kīpuka (regional offices), as well as special initiatives such as LT Ranch on (Hawaiʻi Island), and Lydia House and Liliʻuokalani Center in Honolulu. High performers who are passionate about our purpose and mission excel at LT. We maintain a leading-edge “Total Rewards” program for our teammates that includes distinctive benefits such as unlimited, flexible time off (FTO) for full-time staff, 90 minutes of weekly wellness time, and a six-week paid sabbatical after five years of continuous service. Our mission: To provide opportunities for Hawaiian children to realize their greatest potential: Living healthy, joyful, & prosperous lives, contributing positively to their families, communities & the world.

  • On this day, we commemorate the 187th birthday of Queen Liliʻuokalani, a beloved Aliʻi whose steadfast devotion to her people continues to inspire. Her enduring aloha lives on through her selfless legacy, establishing a trust to care for orphaned and destitute children of Hawaiian ancestry, later extended to serve all kamali'i in need. Today, Liliʻuokalani Trust carries forward her vision of hope, care, and kuleana for generations to come. Me ka haʻahaʻa, we honor Her Majesty’s life, love, and lasting impact. #HauoliLāHānau #QueenLiliuokalani

  • Children thrive in places filled with love, culture, and connection. 🌿 Our new Early Childhood’s Lo‘i is a nurturing space for kamali’i (0–5) and their mākua to learn, grow, and heal together. Through our Early Childhood Initiative, Liliʻuokalani Trust supports families in building strong foundations rooted in aloha and ʻāina.✨
