Last week, I had one of those moments where everything just clicked. Three of my favorite things came together in perfect harmony: game shows, research, and glitter. ✨ That’s right—I had the honor of hosting our Maze Trivia event during our company offsite in Lisbon! And while the bedazzled blazer (thanks Christie Grix) was definitely a highlight, the real best part was watching our incredible team show off their research skills and deep Maze knowledge as they battled it out for first place. Couldn’t have asked for a more fun (or sparkly) moment. 💫 Thanks Yoko F. and Elizabeth Benjamin for being amazing co-hosts!

Back online and feeling energized! We’ve just wrapped an incredible offsite in Lisbon—time well spent connecting as a team, resetting, and mapping out what’s ahead for Maze. From cooking classes and karaoke nights to Maze trivia and deep-dive collaboration sessions, it was the perfect mix of fun, focus, and future-planning. 🧑🍳🎵🇵🇹 Here’s to 2026 and big things ahead.

We can’t believe Road to Research: New York, with Title Sponsor Maze, wrapped up last week 🎉 Between Running with Researchers (Sponsored by Brooks Running), The UXR Morning Roast, and Research Roundtable, it was clear that New York has such a special UXR community! 🫶 A massive thank you to Emily Hittner, PhD, Becca Hare, Erik Olesund, and Judd Antin for curating and hosting such a wonderful Research Roundtable 💡 With the theme of Relationships, Judd concluded the week with his best Ted Lasso impression 👇 “There is something worse out there than being sad, and that is being alone and being sad. Ain't nobody in this room alone." Swipe to see some of our favourite photos, and stay tuned for the recap videos next week 😊 #LetsGrow #NewYork

After years of researching everything from VR to education to transportation to workplace needs, one insight keeps proving itself: everyone wants to feel special. Everyone wants to be wanted. So what happens when you put researchers in a room together-people whose entire job is learning about and understanding others-and point that curiosity at each other? Magic. That's what Learners delivered last week in NYC, and it's hands down the best conference I've been to. Highlights included: - Zero AI hype (refreshing doesn't even cover it) - Being IRL with folks whose work I've admired from afar and reunited with folks up close (hi Anna A. Shima Houshyar Nicole Bacchus Akshay Verma Shima Houshyar María Swart and others!) - Genuine connection and entertainment from values-driven activities A huge thank you to the organizers Learners Alec Levin Becca Hare Emily Hittner, PhD Judd Antin Erik Olesund and sponsors Maze (SO lovely to meet you IRL for the first time John Mayhall) for bringing us together so thoughtfully. This is what happens when community is the priority. #UXResearch #ResearchCommunity #LearnersConference

I’m super excited to share that I’ve started a new chapter at Maze! Even more incredible - during my third week, I had the chance of joining the team in Lisbon, Portugal for a company wide offsite. Grateful for the opportunity to meet everyone in person and already feeling inspired for what’s ahead! ✨ A huge thank you to Curtis Tang and Jessica Hovde for welcoming me to the team! You’ve both made the start to this new chapter genuinely awesome.

Are your AI ethics keeping up? To build products people trust, your research needs to be ethical, thoughtful, and human-centered. Before you plug AI into your research stack, here are four considerations you should think about ↓ 💡 Bias sneaks in ✍️ Consent ≠ one click ⚖️ Transparency builds trust 🌱 AI leaves a footprint Get the safeguards right, and AI can amplify your research, helping you focus on strategic, business-centric projects—without jeopardizing the integrity of user insights.

Heading home after spending 4 days in Lisbon with all of the aMAZings from Maze. It was my first time meeting the entire company in person and the energy was palpable. Jonathan Widawski gave us the task of focusing our time together on alignment and connection. Mission Accomplished! Energized to get back to work and close out Q4 strong after a record Q3.
