We have been celebrating amazing educators in our community, both on the court and on their campuses, through the RBFCU-sponsored Spurs Educator Spotlight Sweepstakes.  Through this program, teachers receive free Spurs tickets and a check for $2,000 each. As the Official Credit Union of the Spurs Sports & Entertainment, we're grateful for the opportunity to honor these educators who go beyond for their students and communities! 

This fall, a devastating fire swept through Gregory, Texas, impacting families near our Portland Branch. Living our commitment to Go Beyond Banking, our Corpus Christi team—RVP Michelle Mendez, Karma Grunza, Amber Bundick and Melissa Longoria—rallied to provide relief. They gathered essential items and nonperishable food to support six families who lost their homes. Community lies at the heart of our credit union, and we're proud to stand with those who need us most.💙

We recently welcomed senior finance students from McCoy College of Business at Texas State University for an exclusive campus visit focused on career insight and networking. 💡 Along with a tour of our headquarters, students had the opportunity to engage with a panel of RBFCU employees and Texas State alumni including President/CEO Mark Sekula, EVP-Chief Lending Officer Robert Zearfoss, SVP-Marketing and Business Development Blake Lyons, VP-Consumer Lending Contact Center Kimberlie Ballard and Digital Marketing Specialist Emily Martin.  The discussion offered valuable advice on career paths, interviewing tips and the skills that shape success in the financial industry—helping these future graduates prepare for the next chapter in their careers. 🎓

Honoring service. Celebrating community. 🌟 RBFCU proudly joined the United States Military Veterans Parade Association’s Veterans Day Parade to honor our nation’s courageous heroes. This beloved San Antonio tradition brought together floats, marching bands, dance troupes and community organizations in a heartfelt tribute to veterans and their families. To all veterans: thank you for your service and sacrifice. Your courage and dedication will always be remembered and respected.

We celebrated First Responders Day all week long across our regions in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and Corpus Christi! Our branches showed their appreciation by delivering treats and nutritious snacks to local fire stations, police departments and EMS teams to thank them for their service. A heartfelt thank you to all these brave heroes who protect and serve our communities every single day. We appreciate you! ❤️
