It’s time to be real about our Out of Office: we’re caring, healing, supporting, holding it all together. Today, we're joining our friends at Paid Leave for All and setting our OOO's in support. Millions of women, caregivers, and essential workers can’t take the time they need to rest, recover, or care — not without risking their paycheck. This year alone, over 450,000 women have left the workforce, one of the steepest declines on record outside the pandemic. We’re using a familiar ritual — the Out of Office reply — to make care visible, and to remind Congress that paid leave is fundamental to families’ financial security. Together, we’re sending the message: Care is why we step away. Paid leave is how we make it possible to come back. Did you step away to take care of yourself or a loved one today? Join us and post yours. #OutOfOfficeForCare #PaidLeaveForAll

If we put down our phones and tune out social media-fueled fads, Ritual chief impact officer Lindsay Dahl, author of “Cleaning House,” believes we might agree more on beauty and wellness product safety than we assume. In a wide-ranging interview, Dahl breaks down factions driving the online wellness wars, including perfectionists and dismissers, who dominate cultural conversations and make efforts to improve chemical safety seem hopelessly cleaved. Yet she argues most people fall into a quieter camp of pragmatists and that progress is possible. Ritual, for instance, is pushing for limits on heavy metals in supplements and has worked across the aisle. “The desire for clean and safe consumer products has always been something that’s bipartisan,” says Dahl, who doesn’t hesitate to defend the term “clean beauty.” “I don’t think brands should back away from a marketing term that does signal to consumers that you’re moving away from or being intentional about not using hazardous chemicals.” For entrepreneurs building mission-centered brands in a tricky moment, Dahl offers three pieces of advice: hire product safety experts, don’t waver from your mission and embed it into management. “If brands do those three things, they will win in this marketplace,” she predicts. Recently, Ritual attended the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo (FNCE) in Nashville. Our study principal investigator, Dr. Xinyin Jiang from CUNY Brooklyn, had the opportunity to present the results of our 24-week, randomized and double-blind clinical trial on Essential Prenatal. The study — that was recognized with FNCE’s 🏆 2025 Outstanding Abstract Award 🏆 — found that Essential Prenatal: ✔️ Minimizes Excess Unmetabolized Folic Acid: Essential Prenatal demonstrated a more efficient utilization of folate vs. a leading prenatal with folic acid and was clinically proven to be well-absorbed †* ✔️ Supports Cortisol Levels: Moms taking Ritual’s Essential Prenatal had a lower overall cortisol level, a stress marker.†* Want to learn more? Read the full clinical trial results on our website! †Based on a 24-week, randomized, double-blind, controlled clinical trial on 62 second and third trimester pregnant women. *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. #fnce #clinicalstudy #clinicalstudies

The Glossy Beauty X Wellness Summit wrapped up today in Newport Beach, CA today. Here’s a recap of Day Three … ✨ Laura Beres has played a key role in Ulta Beauty’s transformation and strategy work, in addition to revamping the retailer’s wellness assortment. In our "Creating a wellness destination inside a beauty powerhouse" session, she spoke to that expanded assortment and how Ulta Beauty is carving out more shelf space for wellness, positioning it as a core tenet of beauty retail’s next era. “Customers are looking at ChatGPT, Yuka and SuppCo while shopping our stores. Consumers are smart, and they have more access to data than ever before," she said. ✨ Dieux first came onto the scene with its cult eye masks, which were spotted on cool kids across Instagram. In the years since, it has expanded its product assortment and earned big-name fans, while leaning into both the brand’s digital success and its founders’ own. Co-founder and CBO Charlotte Palermino discussed the brand’s evolving social media strategies.  "Ultimately, are you saying something [on social media], or are you trying to appease everyone? As somebody who did work in social media, I can tell you right now, trying to appease everyone is the best way to actually eliminate everyone or people just to completely disengage," she said. ✨ In a category that lacks regulation yet has exploded, Ritual is putting science and education front and center. In our "Taking a 360-degree approach to driving wellness innovation" session, founder and CEO Katerina Markov Schneider discussed how her brand’s strict focus is fueling its growth, shaping its retail partnerships, influencing the beauty industry and evolving wellness for the better. "We reshaped the conversation and culture around trying [to conceive] ... and we saw that over 50% of our customers were actually coming in before they were pregnant, which is what we hoped to influence and shape cultural," she said. ✨ After a $255 million exit from Drybar, which sold consumers smooth and bouncy looks via in-salon, blow-dry-focused styling appointments and corresponding products, Alli Webb has launched a new line, Messy By Alli Webb, to help consumers embrace the opposite. In our "Strategizing around beauty’s trend cycles" session, Webb discussed the opportunity she saw and how she’s approaching business differently with the new company. ✨ Beyond ingestibles is a growing category offering great wellness benefits, according to the brands behind them. In our "The future of wellness: The new technologies supporting health and self-care" session, Amanda Lehner of Therabody and Denise De Baun of Helight discussed the growing market opportunity in wellness devices, the science behind them, and their brands’ focuses on meeting consumer demand for simple, convenient and effective wellness rituals.
