Reunited and it feels so good! 🧡 Our biannual NICU reunion at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital brought 448 families together to celebrate babies who spent 7+ days in the NICU and are now thriving. One story that stole the show? One of our NICU graduates, now 32 years old, is starting a pharmacy rotation right here at the same hospital! Full circle doesn't even begin to cover it! #NICUGraduates #NeonatalCare #FullCircleMoment

Something to take the edge off, without increasing your risk for lung cancer or chronic health conditions. 🚭 When the day feels overwhelming, try a healthier way to unwind. Listen to music, solve a puzzle, get in some exercise, or spend time with a furry friend. 🧩🐾🎧 Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death in the United States, claiming more lives each year than breast, prostate, and colon cancers combined. Regular low-dose CT screening can detect lung cancer early, before symptoms develop, when it’s easier to treat and survival rates are much higher.

Health screenings aren't always easy. They can feel inconvenient, intimidating, or like something you'll "get to later." That’s why we’re working to remove those barriers by bringing community health fairs directly into local neighborhoods. Every screening is a chance to catch something early, answer a question, or ease someone’s mind. Because when preventive care is more accessible, communities can stay healthier. #ImprovingHealth #SentaraCares #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #CommunityHealth

What does it take to build hybrid care models that truly work? According to Amber Price, senior vice president and CNO, it starts with listening to frontline teams, setting clear standards, and investing in models that strengthen, not strain, clinical practice. Her insights on scaling virtual nursing, strengthening culture, and prioritizing nurse well-being reflect the kind of leadership moving our industry forward. #SentaraProud

A mental health crisis can unfold quietly — in a home, a parking lot, a school hallway. How people are met in those moments can change everything.💙 That’s why we’re partnering with local first responders in Hampton to support a new mobile mental health emergency team. Its mission: bring the right level of care precisely when and where it's needed.⚕️🚑

A major milestone for heart care in Hampton Roads! ❤️ Our cardiology team at Sentara Heart Hospital performed the first EV-ICD implant, a state-of-the-art procedure that provides life-saving defibrillation and pacing therapy. EV-ICD stands for Extravascular Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator. Unlike traditional ICDs, this system sits outside the heart and blood vessels, reducing long-term risks tied to lead complications. At the heart of this innovation is a simple goal: bringing the safest and most advanced care to the people who need it. With one of the most experienced cardiac rhythm management teams in Virginia, Sentara cardiology teams continue to be at the forefront of innovation, delivering cutting-edge therapies, participating in leading research trials, and improving the lives of our patients.
