We are excited to announce that Dr. Benjamin Bikman will be joining Sami Inkinen (Virta Health CEO & Co-founder) for a keynote conversation at Moonshots for Health 2026. Together, they will explore how tackling insulin resistance at the root is redefining what is possible in healthcare. This is where deep science meets bold vision. Join us on January 28, 2026, to see how we can turn the tide on chronic disease. 🔗 Register for free: https://bit.ly/4oKtpgu

  • Everyday foods can play a small, supportive role in metabolic health — not as cures, but as part of a broader, science-based approach. Fox News Digital recently covered emerging research on ingredients like black cumin and spoke with Virta Health dietitian Theresa Link, RD, LMNT, to add context. Early studies show supportive shifts in cholesterol and appetite, but Theresa reinforces: “𝙉𝙤 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙚. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜.” It’s a reminder that while certain foods can help, meaningful change comes from a structured, sustainable nutrition plan. #MetabolicHealth #NutritionScience #VirtaHealth https://fxn.ws/4p2i105

The data speaks for itself: → 𝟕𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 units of insulin eliminated → $𝟭𝗕+ in healthcare costs saved → $𝟭𝟭𝟴𝗠 in GLP-1 costs avoided → $𝟮𝟬𝗠 in insulin savings alone For decades, "chronic" conditions like type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular, kidney, and liver disease, have been managed, not reversed. Powered by AI and guided by human care, Virta’s individualized nutrition therapy helps members address the root cause, poor metabolic health, instead of just treating the symptoms. This report is proof that the future of healthcare - where lives are longer, healthier, and medication free - is already here. 📘 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: https://lnkd.in/eT583ASv #VirtaHealth #MetabolicHealth #DiabetesReversal #ReversalIsPossible #FoodAsMedicine #HealthcareInnovation #AnnualReport #HealthTech

  • Significant news from the White House last week: Millions of Medicare members will soon gain access to GLP-1s for obesity through new pricing deals. The announcement also teased the availability of lower-priced oral formulas, a change that would ripple through plans of all types. This is a win for members looking to access and afford these medications, but a major financial headwind for plan sponsors when demand surges. What now? Plan sponsors must act quickly to implement strategies that deliver both positive financial returns and lasting outcomes from added spend. This starts by pairing every GLP-1 prescription with an evidence-based nutrition and behavior change program. If you’re looking for a trusted partner in GLP-1 prescribing and deprescribing: Virta has been doing this for 10+ years. We’ve helped members sustain 85% weight loss a year after stopping the medication, and we’ve lowered costs for payers by cutting GLP-1 use for weight loss over 50% among current users. GLP-1s are a tool in the toolkit, but optimizing the spend requires a program like Virta. 👉 Join our experts as they unpack this news and what it means for plans on Wednesday, November 19: https://bit.ly/4p2BkWt

  • Big news from Virta at #ObesityWeek 2025 🎉 New real-world data show that Virta’s nutrition-first, telemedicine-supported care isn’t just improving health, it’s also driving major cost savings. 👉 Participants with obesity saw: • 60 fewer hospitalizations • 400 fewer PCP visits per 1,000 members annually • $243 PMPM reduction in total healthcare costs at one year A powerful reminder that food-as-medicine can transform both outcomes and costs. #VirtaHealth #ObesityWeek #OW2025 #Obesity #Telemedicine #DigitalHealth #RealWorldEvidence #TotalCostOfCare #CostSavings #NutritionFirst

Priya Shanmugam Virta will present new data at Obesity Week 2025 revealing major healthcare cost savings from its personalized nutrition-first therapy program. In a large, claims-based study, adults with obesity who participated in Virta’s carbohydrate-restricted nutrition therapy achieved substantial reductions in healthcare costs and utilization at one and two years. Participants experienced 60 fewer hospitalizations and 400 fewer brick-and-mortar PCP visits per 1,000 members annually, resulting in a $243 PMPM reduction in total costs at one year. These real-world findings highlight the potential for individualized, telemedicine-supported nutrition therapy to deliver meaningful clinical and financial benefits at scale—offering a powerful, nonpharmacologic strategy to address the growing burden of obesity.
