When challenges arise, Emily Leau-Shaffer doesn’t just step up, she builds pathways for others to follow. Emily joined ZemiTek with a strong foundation in Human Resources, including international experience in Japan and Honduras. Early on, she adopted a personal mantra: “people helping people.” That mindset continues to drive her work, whether she’s guiding candidates through recruitment, crafting proposals, or supporting teammates across the company. Since joining ZemiTek over two years ago, Emily has become a cornerstone in our Business Development (BD) team. Emily’s leadership shines brightest when she’s empowering others. She has taken the initiative to train colleagues across departments in business development workflows, breaking down solicitations, sharing insights on proposal writing, and helping teammates understand how their roles contribute to the bigger picture. Her ability to lead through collaboration and clarity continues to strengthen how our teams work together and support one another. She also carries a deep appreciation for corporate policy and structure, thanks to her early interest in law and policy analysis. That lens allows her to build systems that uplift those around her. Whether she's writing proposals or conducting interviews, Emily keeps teamwork and impact at the center of her work. When asked what makes ZemiTek special, Emily highlighted our culture of mutual investment: “Everyone here is willing to support one another, even outside their own roles. I think that speaks volumes about the kind of team we’ve built.” We’re proud to have Emily on our team and excited to see where her journey leads next. #Teamwork #Collaboration #PeopleFirst #ZemiTek

Every smooth start has someone behind it — anticipating roadblocks, navigating systems, and helping people feel prepared from the very beginning. Meet Elizabeth Sullivan, ZemiTek’s Facility Security Officer (FSO) — and the person behind many of the seamless starts and trusted relationships our teams and clients depend on. Elizabeth didn’t plan on a career in security — she started in administrative support and simply kept saying yes to new challenges. Over time, she built a reputation for keeping people safe, informed, and connected, even when the systems around her were changing fast. “I’d like to think that if someone on staff has something difficult to bring forward — they know they can come to me. That they’ll be heard and supported.” That’s the kind of leadership Elizabeth brings: one grounded in follow-through, empathy, and excellence. She may not always see the end results of every clearance she processes or every compliance detail she oversees, but her work makes a visible impact: faster onboarding, smoother program starts, and stronger trust across the board. So here’s to the behind-the-scenes champions! The people like Elizabeth who keep the wheels turning and the doors open — not for attention, but because they care deeply about getting it right and moving the mission forward. We’re lucky to have her on the team. #ZemiTek #TeamFeature #EmployeeSpotlight #LeadershipInAction #MissionReady

At ZemiTek, we believe mission impact starts with the people behind the work. Take Jamarcus Magee, one of our exceptional Program Analysts supporting the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). On any given day, you’ll find him validating data, tracking service requests, or troubleshooting small issues before they become big ones. From reviewing lease agreements to tracking ownership changes and managing documentation, his work ensures that public buildings and facilities are operating efficiently and cost-effectively. But it’s not just about paperwork—it’s about public service. Recently, while reviewing a federal lease file, Jamarcus identified a discrepancy in the tax amounts listed on the county website. Demonstrating his proactive nature, he took the initiative to investigate the matter. He is currently collaborating with the Administrative Lease Contracting Officer to resolve this issue, which will ultimately save the federal government over $400,000. And it’s not the only time Jamarcus has stepped up. When a federal property underwent a complex ownership transfer, he coordinated across multiple teams, clarified procedural steps, and ensured every box was checked. Thanks to his steady hand, the transition was seamless and on schedule. This is what service excellence looks like in action: dedicated professionals using their expertise to support our clients and drive results that matter. His work may happen behind the scenes, but the outcomes are far-reaching—supporting GSA’s ability to provide safe, functional, and cost-effective workspaces for federal employees nationwide. We're proud to have Jamarcus on our team and proud to support GSA's mission through meaningful, everyday impact. #ZemiTek #TeamSpotlight #MissionDriven #ClientService #ProgramAnalyst #FederalSupport #GSA #PublicService #RealEstate #OperationalExcellence
