Compromised account cleanup

Last updated: 1 year ago
If your account has been compromised and you’ve regained access, we may be able to reverse the following actions taken by the unauthorized user:
  • Messages sent by the unauthorized user will either be moved to the recipients’ spam folder or be labeled with a warning. At this time, we can only cleanup messages and InMails sent within your Profile, Recruiter and Sales Navigator.
    • Note: Warning labels will only be visible in the recipient’s Inbox next to messages as pictured below

  • Withdrawal of invitations that have not been accepted.
    • Note: The invitation will no longer appear in the recipient’s LinkedIn account; however, the email notification for the invitation cannot be withdrawn.
  • Removal of any Posts or Comments that were shared during the unauthorized access.
You may fill out the request form to request these changes and our team will reach out to you if additional information is required. Please note that completion of this form indicates your agreement for a LinkedIn representative to reverse as many activities as we can that took place on your account during the unauthorized activity including Messages, Invitations, Feed Posts, and Comments.
