Compensation information is available in LinkedIn Talent Insights when you generate a Talent Pool Report. This data is based on similar roles, companies, and regions, and is inferred using LinkedIn salary data collected from pay data added by hirers to job posts. You can use the compensation insights to compare compensation within the overall market and among peers. This data shows how salaries vary across locations, companies, and industries.
Important to know
In order for the salary data to appear on the Overview page, LinkedIn requires a minimum amount of professionals within the total talent pool to provide salary data. If there are less than that minimum amount, we will not display the salary data within the product. Please note, the amount of professionals shown as a result can be more than this minimum amount. However, despite that result, if salary insights isn't showing it would mean that less than the required professionals within that result have salary data added.
When you generate a Talent Pool Report and set the Location filter to the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom, the Overview tab displays a compensation summary in the Compensation section on the right side of the page. The summary includes the average total compensation and the average compensation range. The compensation information is displayed in USD by default.
