Architectural Designer
PALO – Designer/Architect 1 (3+ Years Experience, AI-Forward)
About Us
Palo is an award-winning integrated architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design practice committed to generous, adaptable, high-quality housing in mixed-use environments. Our sister company, Rhamnus, partners with mission-driven clients such as churches and nonprofits to transform underutilized land into affordable and community-serving housing. Together, we work across all scales of multifamily and mixed-use work, delivering projects that matter, and for select clients we create spatially rich, thoughtfully crafted single-family homes and family compounds.
Role Overview
We hire people who set a high bar for themselves and the team. If you are energized by ambitious work, expect excellence from your peers, and want to contribute to a practice where everyone pulls their weight, you will thrive here.
We are seeking a designer with at least three years of professional experience who is energized by meaningful housing work and thrives in a collaborative team environment. This role contributes directly to shaping projects from concept through construction and calls for an AI‑forward approach across modeling, visualization, communication, and analysis. At Palo, AI means amplified intelligence—elevating our work through the best tools and the strength of the team around you.

- Develop early-stage concepts through rapid 3D and AI-assisted workflows.
- Produce and coordinate drawing sets across all phases.
- Build clear, narrative-driven presentations for clients and community partners.
- Support work on both private development projects and Rhamnus-led community initiatives.

- Curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to improving housing outcomes.
- Licensure on path preferred.

- Health Care: 100% of base plan covered
