The Opportunity: Vice President, Artificial Intelligence
The company is hiring a Vice President of AI to lead its Center of Excellence and define how artificial intelligence is developed, governed, and deployed enterprise-wide. The VP will create the technical and organizational foundation for high-value AI programs, guiding teams that build and operationalize models across data, product, and infrastructure domains.
This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer and partners with executive leaders across engineering, product, and operations to ensure that AI becomes a structural advantage for the company.
Strategic Mandate
1. AI Strategy and Governance
Define the company-wide AI vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and long-term growth targets.
Establish governance standards for transparency, interpretability, and ethical deployment.
Lead the creation of operational frameworks for model lifecycle management, validation, and auditability.
2. Center of Excellence Development
Build the AI CoE from inception, including organizational design, talent strategy, and cross-functional collaboration structures.
Develop internal capability-building programs that enable teams across the enterprise to adopt AI responsibly.
Serve as the executive sponsor for company-wide AI education, tooling, and innovation initiatives.
3. Research and Applied Development
Directly applied research in machine learning, data science, and decision intelligence to solve complex business challenges.
Oversee the development of predictive, generative, and optimization models integrated into production environments.
Build frameworks that connect experimentation to measurable ROI.
4. Technology and Infrastructure Alignment
Collaborate with platform and data engineering leaders to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of AI workloads.
Define standards for MLOps, data pipelines, and performance monitoring across business domains.
Evaluate emerging technologies that enhance computational efficiency and model interpretability.
5. Enterprise Impact
Embed AI solutions into products, operations, and customer experience systems that reach millions of users.
Quantify the value contribution of AI initiatives through business impact metrics and strategic reporting to the Board.
Shape the company’s public position on responsible AI innovation.
Candidate Profile
Advanced degree in machine learning, computer science, or applied mathematics.
Fifteen or more years of experience in AI leadership, including large-scale deployment and enterprise strategy.
Deep expertise in ML platforms, model governance, and MLOps infrastructure.
Proven ability to lead global teams combining research, engineering, and business analysis.
Strong record of aligning technical innovation with measurable commercial performance.
Recognized thought leader in the field of AI adoption and enterprise transformation.
Compensation and Structure
Performance Incentive: Up to 150% of base salary based on delivery of AI program milestones and enterprise impact metrics
Equity Participation: 1.5 to 3% fully diluted, aligned with long-term enterprise value
