- [Narrator] October 2025 marks the end of support from Microsoft for the Windows 10 operating system. What does this mean for Windows 10 users moving forward? Even though Windows 10 market share remains strong, Microsoft made the move to encourage migration to the Windows 11 platform. So as a Windows 10 user, what can you do? This computer is running Windows 10. The smart move is to upgrade to Windows version 11. Press the Windows I keyboard shortcut. In the settings app, choose update and security. You see the prompt here recommending that you make the update to Windows 11. I would encourage you to do so. The upgrade is free, though the process takes a while to complete, so be patient. If your PC is incompatible with the upgrade, you see text here asking you to check the hardware requirements. In most cases, this message means that the computer cannot make the Windows 11 upgrade.
