- Sometimes finding an item in Navisworks is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Sometimes it is always like the element we need to see are, well, out of sight. Since there's so much searchable data in Navisworks or in a typical model, it's great to know we can really define our searchers to define specific items. By utilizing the Find Items dialogue we can drill right near the core of Navisworks and ultimately find what we're looking for. We'll use a search criteria to look for a specific door hidden in the building somewhere. To follow along, open up Navisworks, go to Open, and I am going to grab Navisworks Essential dot NWD. Now on the home panel, you'll find your Find Items property. Go ahead and click that. Drill into Navisworks essential dot NWD. Select Architectural dot NWC.
