- [Instructor] Map visuals let us place locations with Cartesian coordinates for points and shapes on a geographical plane, which is a two dimensional projection of the Earth's three dimensional shape. We can also add other layers to our map visuals in Power BI and other tools to give the geographical data more context. This includes topography, like mountains and oceans, infrastructure like roads, geopolitical boundaries like countries, states, and counties.
