“Restoring farmland requires businesses and governments to work together......” – Diane Holdorf, WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development The launch of RAIZ at COP30 this week marks a pivotal moment, garnering support from 10 countries. RAIZ (Resilient Agriculture Investment for Net-Zero Land Degradation)— will bring together countries, investors, innovators, and farmers to turn degraded lands into productive, resilient and regenerative landscapes where both people and nature can thrive. As an international partner of FOLU, WBCSD brings critical private-sector leadership to RAIZ— building on their lessons from Landscape Accelerator Brazil (LAB) and Action Agenda on Regenerative Landscapes (AARL), through which more than 40 organizations reported $9B+ in committed investment, covering more than 210 million hectares of land, reaching 12 million farmers across 90+ commodities and 110+ countries by 2030.
