Today is Small Business Saturday, and we’re proud to spotlight a remarkable partner: David Stanton of Optimal Outdoor Solutions. Dave has been in the golf course and landscape industry since 2004. In 2012, he founded his own company, Optimal Outdoor Solutions. Then in 2023, during a casual round of golf, a friend told him he’d be a perfect fit for maintaining solar sites. Intrigued, Dave reached out to our crew at Yellowbud Solar to share his background and interest. Our team recognized right away that he was the right fit for the work. What started with Dave and two team members has since grown into a thriving operation with 17 employees. Today, the company mows multiple sites across the region, including three of our own: Yellowbud Solar, Ross County Solar and Fayette Solar. In 2025 alone, Dave’s team mowed 12,000 acres—and they’re on track for 18,000 acres in 2026.
